On/off swith knob broken

Is it the actual knob that is broken or the little tab the knob holds onto that is broken. You either need a replacement knob or a replacement switch assuming the know is also the thermostat for the unit. Does that same knob control the fan speed? Temprature or timer?

The volume knob from my right computer part Rev A00 broke off. Computer model Dell dimension 2400. Can I get a replacement knob and where?

Sounds like you broke the volume control knob for your speakers (Likely A215s)
Best bet, new pair of speakers as they don't sell replacement parts for the speakers themselves

Volume control broken

You can purchase clear 2-part epoxy products at most home improvement stores. You will also need masking tape (or similar) a popsicle stick (or similar) a small piece of cardboard and a toothpick.
Mix the epoxy with the popsicle stick and apply a small amount to the exposed surface of the volume control's stem. Holding the knob in place, run a strip of tape from the top of the unit, across the knob and to the bottom.
These epoxies are very strong and fast setting. It's probably best to leave the tape for at least 8 hours but you should refer to the instructions for the epoxy you buy.

Good Luck,
BB

Broken volume knob

I located the remote control for the unit and it works fine. As the unit is not the primary amplifier for the home stereo system, I use the remote to control the volume. Thank you for your quick responce, and I will keep you in mind for any future needs.

The timer knob broke - can't find replacement

Assuming it has broken on the shaft then you could pry the broken bit off the shaft and take the knob and broken piece to your domestic appliance parts stockist. The shafts are usually a standard size and there might be a similar knob that you could replace it with.

Broken Knob for fan control

once you take off the front housing, the switch itself shoud be easy to remove and replace...sometimes, a used appliance store/repair office can get a suitable replacement part. Trick is to mark the wires as you remove them from the switch and take hte switch with you while you go part hunting. Also would help to have model and serial number (and brand name) noted to take along. Papdaddy
