Since upgrading my N95 8GB firmware from 11.* to the latest 30.* I am unable to establish a WIFI connection. It will find WIFI spots and prompt me to enter the key but doesn't get any further. This affects all WIFI and I have deleted the connections various times. Since I am unable to restore to 11.* I seem to be stuffed unless a solution is available. SOS

I have a work-around for my home wifi router by assigning a static IP, subnet and DNS gateway. Found this solution on a blog. Of course, it won't help me connect to other WIFI points using dhcp but I can live with this for the moment.

How to update whole firmeware of tplink for w8901g

Sameer, First thing to do is establishing some facts of this router. Please look at the labels at the bottom of the unit and let me know the firmware version. Something like v1, v2 or v4. Pls look here for the example http://www.tp-link.com/lk/Article/?id=46.

You now have to connect the router to a pc with a network cable, that pc is NOT connected to the internet. For instance with a separate laptop, disable the wifi. The network cable connects the router (one of the LAN connections) to the pc.
Invoke a browser and write in the address line 193.168.1.1 with ID admin and password admin. This should open the service program from the router. Go to Firmware upgrade. And follow the rules. Generally you have to check the latest firmware in the TP-Link site and download that file to your pc. IF you have any questions we are always here to help.
Success, Fred

TP-Link TL-WR642G recovery after failure upgrade to latest firmware

may find this page helpful. http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php...om_a_Bad_Fl ash Its not for the TP-Link router but the same principle could be applied to you with the correct firmware. Its worked for me on more than a few occasions. Providing you can ping the router via a lan cable then the chances of recovering it are very high.

Hi,

I had the same problem as yours. Here's how I solved it. First you'll need to download the blackberry software from sasktel website. Just google it and you'll find it. Once you've downloaded it here's what to do:

1. Download the latest firmware to your PC
2. Install the firmware onto your PC that is running BlackBerry Desktop Manager
3. Go to c:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Apploader and delete the vendor.xml file. If you are using Desktop Manager 4.7 or higher you must also disconnect your PC from the internet.
4. Connect your device and open Desktop Manager
5. When prompted select "Upgrade Now" (If you are not prompted select Applications Loader > Update)
6. Follow the prompts and your device will be upgraded.

This solved my problem and my browser is running perfectly well on wifi.
