When getting the error message Low Memory, this means one of two things. Either the print job that you are sending to the printer is to big, or the fuser in the printer is to hot, and needs to cool down. I would not recommend printing in raster mode, as this can cause further issues within the software. A couple of steps that you could try are:
1. If there are previous print jobs in the queue wait until they are completed
2. Power down the printer for a minimum of 30 seconds
3. If you are printing a large amount of pages, break it down into smaller jobs
4. If printing documents, change the setting to either fast draft, or draft mode

I guess you are using word. In that case the default driver you use and comes standard with windows is flawed. Download a new one from HP.

I think your problem is that the 5550 supports manual duplex printing. Print every other page then feed them through again. Never tried it though. Dave Reed

Click on Start,
Go to Control Panel,
open Printer and Faxes
look for the Printer which is HP C5280 or any icon related to same,
Right click
Choose set as default
Close Everything
Shutdown your computer and Printer
Check and make sure that the USB cable is connected propely
Restart the Printer first and then the computer,try Printing some thing.
if this doesnt resolve you issue then i would suggest you to uninstall the printer software and reinstall and update it from HP.com.

it seems you might need to rest teh PC..
Once you have done that and assuming you are running windows pls do the following (while the printer is OFF)
1. Go to "Start", "Run"
2. Type: CMD
3. press "Enter"
(now you should be in a DOS terminal window)
4. type: net stop spooler
press "enter"
5. type: net start spooler
press "enter"
6. type: exit
press enter
Turn on the printer...you should be clear now :)
