Check your power steering fluid level, and system for leaks. May be a bad p/s pump as well. Hope this helps

Hello, I have seen many differentials go bad on this model but you saying that the noise went away after you sprayed it with water doesn't make sense. If you want to check the wheel bearings, jack up the car and check the movement of your wheels by grabbing the top of the tire with one hand and the bottom of the tire with other and see if there is too much movement. If there is too much movement, then you need to replace the wheel bearings. (big job)
You also need to check the brake calipers to see if they are sticking. You can take a large screw driver and pry back the pads. They should move back with a little effort. If not, maybe the calipers are sticking.
I hope this helps.

SOURCE: high pitch noise coming from rear of my van

Hi, it could be the fuel pump humming, the fourth gen seems to be having problem with it during hot weather. Since it is right above the fuel tank, it might be confused for a noise near the exhaust..

Take care

Loud brake noise in 97 buick lesabre

When you had the drums off, did you inspect the shoes for excessive wear? And How do the drums look? Are they grooved? Can you be more specific about the loud noise. Does it sound like a grinding noise, or a screeching or pulsating noise. Is it lower pitch or high pitch?

Hi, the screeching noise could be a wheel bearing,if there is enough play in the bearing this could give a bigger air gap between the abs sensor and reluctor which would bring the abs/tcs lights on.

Metal on metal sounding clicking noise while the wheels are turning but only on the frot driver and passenger wheels. What is going on? It started out only on the passenger side and then after the tire...

Is the noise a screeching high pitch or a growling low pitch?
It sounds to me that the CV joints might be bad and you need brakes.
high pitch would be the brake warning tabs
the low pitch would be the brake pads are gone and you are on the rotors gringing away metal

I have 4.3 L and i keep on hereing a high piched noises

You need to determine which pulley your noise is coming from, the best way is to use a long extension and place it on each item and just touch it to your ear, then you will be able to hear how each of them have there own sound.but from here,i'll place my money on the alternator, they do put off a high pitch noise when the front bearing is drying out on them

05 wrangler grinding/screeching

it could be your brakes , on most brakes there is a wear tab that makes a high pitched squeeling noise when it contacts the rotor. this is in place to let you know your brakes are due for replacement. if it is not your brakes then it could be a wheel bearing.

Screeching noise coming from driver side tire

The high pitch sound may come from the brake pads as metal parts hit the disc to signal the owner that it needs change. The metal parts gets exposed when the pads have worn out. The brake also has a hub to cover the disc. See if the metal plate is hitting it but this issue would appear when the wheels are in motion. Check if it is the belts, have the tension checked out. Other than that the bearings are the other items on your wheel that could cause a high pitched sound when you car is in motion.
