Need to do a reset on a gw612 after changing the cold valve

is the valve receiving power to open it? check and find out why. You may have to call for service.

Unfortunately there is no really easy answer to your problem without getting a technician out.
When you ring it would pay not to tell them you've been working on the machine yourself or they may refuse to work on it.
Just say that the light are flashing..etc.
Bear in mind that the Hot and Cold valves on F&Ps are different and should not be exchanged.

The motor controller board could have a faulty water valve mosfet.
have part replaced by tech or replace motor controller board.

Your cold water valve has failed and needs replacing, quite an easy fix. To get to it first unplug from wall, next remove water hoses from the machine, next lift the lid up and then just pull it off, next remove the two Phillips head screws at the of the rear of display console, lift off then unplug from motor controller, valves are now visible and are the parts which the water hoses where removed from, if they are blue in colour you will need to replace both hot and cold valves as the blue ones are a single unit but if they are white in colour you can replace the one that is not working as they are separate units. When removing the valves it will pay to cover the brown motor controller computer with a towel so as not to accidently get any water in it when removing as they do tend to hold a little abit inside. You can source parts from fisher & paykel you will need to quote the model number which is GW612 and the serial number aswell with that model as there can possibly be two types of valve available for that model, so keep them numbers handy when ringing them. Make sure you have display console fitted first aswell when putting it back together before fitting the water hoses just to make sure you don't accidently get any water on main computer board as this will kill it completely.

Does It just shake bowl left & right, it will soon give you fault code 56.
Well its a board problem you will need to get technician to fix this board, three resistors(R129,R130,R131) need to be changed for a 1MegOhm resistor.

The seal and bearings need replacing.

Hi just read your posting.Starting from the left to right if the lights that are on when the machine is beeping are the 3rd and 4th and 8th then the error code is called COLD VALVE FAULTY.This means either your cold water valve is faulty or you control module is faulty.Would you like me to guide you in the testing and isolating the fault and replacing the faulty component?Please reply for further help.Looking forward to your reply.

Hi just read your posting.This fault code indicates you have a COLD WATER VALVE FAULT.The lights you marked with --x-- are the ones that are lit.Is this correct?What you need to do is to test the valve coil for OHMS resistance.It should be around 60 to 63 ohms.The water valves are located under the top panel.Please reply to tell me how you got on or if you need further assistance.
