My printer is displaying "Print Server Down". How can I fix this error?

this printer has a usb interface can you see an axis 1650 usb to ethernet server box attached to the usb cable that is attached to the printer ?
would check power to the usb to ethernet server box see photo inserted of what it looks like !
Maybe the power has been disconnected or the ac-dc adapter has gone faulty .
If it has power may be try removing power from it for 20 seconds and then re plug in and then test by printing to printer.
check print server has valid ip address.
also check dhcp server on network has not got printer servers ip address in its lease range. check also that printer server's ip address is static and not being set automatically.
if printer server is ip address try going to dos prompt on p.c. and type in ping {ip address of server} eg c:> ping 192.168.0.2
press Enter key
should get a reply 4 times

Printer not responding is error message I have tried all fix ideas I can find any suggestions

It is hard to reply without knowing what your actual attempted fixes were. I have the online Manual and the main solutions, if the error message was on the LCD, were focused on the Fine cartridges..making sure they were installed properly and if you might possibly be running out of ink.

Samsung ml-n2165 won't print

Wireless printing is hard to setup unless you know what your doing. The best way is to setup a static ip for the printer. Then reserve that ip address on the router. Then the printer will always be in the "same spot it was last time" meaning the ip address has not changed. Then delete the printer and reinstall the printer drivers-- on all computers. Computers print to an ip address, if it changed then the computer cannot print to it, it doesnt know where to send the info. The router is designed to make your life easy in respect to assigning you an ip address each time you turn it on, but this can change if you have more computers on. For instance you turn on computer 1 then computer 2 then the printer, then computer one gets the 1st address then computer 2 gets the 2nd address and the printer get the 3rd address. Now here comes the problem if you install the printer now, all of the computers will send the data to the 3rd address. Then you turn off all of the computers and printer like most people do at night. Now you turn on the printer first because it was closes to the door and then just one computer. Then the printer gets the 1st address and the computer gets the 2nd address, but remember the computer still thinks the printer is in the 3rd address. It will not print. The router doesnt care who comes on first unless you tell it specifically if "this" device turns on then I will give it "this" address. The router does not know that a printer is attached to it just sees a piece of hardware.

I am trying to get online but everytime i click the entrnet explorer it just says dns error i dont know what to do

A "DNS" server is a "DOMAIN NAME SERVER" -- you feed it a name, such as 'www.ebay.com', and it returns an IP-address. Then, the Internet "routes" your traffic to that IP-address, and eBay's web-server responds to your request, and sends a web-page to your IP-address.

A "DNS error" means either:
* there is no IP-address associated with the name, as you spelled it, e.g., 'ww.ebaay.co', or,
* your computer could not connect to the DNS-server, and so could not send the query,
* your computer does not know the IP-address of the DNS-server, and thus has "nowhere" to send your DNS-query.

Just installed printer and drivers via a network connection for Vista 32bit. I did this per the instructions Provided by Konica at ftp://ftp.minolta-qms.com/pub/crc/out_going/manuals/misc/km_vista...

I presume that the IP Address in the instruction is just an example IP Address. I don't know if your printer is connected to a router or to a Hub or Switch, but your printer's IP Address should depend on the device that provides the IP Address and the example is router. The first 3 octet of the Printer should be the same as the router's. So the setup should be router->printer then router->computer.

Error 61:01 wrong file format. The printer cannot process the job.

Error 999 is a sign that Yahoo's defense is in effect.

"This error appears to be a "catch-all" error code that Yahoo serves up when it doesn't have a more specific error code. It essentially means "Oops! Something went wrong but we don't know what, so we'll just say that Error 999 occurred." The most common reason for receiving Yahoo Error 999 is due to some sort of bandwidth limiting system that Yahoo has put in place on their servers. Once you have exceeded your allotted bandwidth for a specific period of time Yahoo gives you this Error 999 message and doesn't allow you to access the service. People have primarily reported receiving this error when they try to access Yahoo Mail or Yahoo Groups, but other Yahoo services may also be affected.
Why has Yahoo done this? There are two reasons that I can think of:
  1. To prevent DoS (Denial of Service) attacks.
  2. To stop automated tasks from hammering their servers with hundreds of requests a second.
There are many programs around that offer to automate access to various Yahoo services, i.e. check your Yahoo mailbox every 5 minutes, archive Yahoo Groups messages, download files from the Yahoo Groups Photos and Files sections, etc. If you use one of these automated tools then there is a very real possibility that you will run into the Error 999 message. Normal human usage of the Yahoo services shouldn't normally generate enough traffic to trigger the Error 999 message unless you're a very heavy user.
It appears that Yahoo uses your IP address to track the amount of traffic you're generating on Yahoo, and once you reach the limit you get blocked by the Unable to process request at this time -- error 999 message. Once triggered you will find that your IP address has been blocked for a period of time, somewhere between 2 and 24 hours usually
Resolution Steps:Clear your browser's cookies and cache (temporary files).
2.Log into Yahoo through a different country's server. I.e. if you usually log into Yahoo via http://login.yahoo.com/ then try http://login.korea.yahoo.com/ or http://login.europe.yahoo.com/.
If you use a proxy server then try turning it off. Good. Because Yahoo appears to be using your IP address to track your traffic usage, switching off your proxy (or bypassing your ISP's proxy server and accessing the web directly) will result in you accessing Yahoo via a different IP address (i.e. you will be accessing Yahoo via your real IP address and not via the proxy server's IP address). Thus Yahoo will think you're a different person because you're using a different IP address. If you're using a dial-up modem or some other access method that results in you using a dynamic IP address, try disconnecting from the Internet and waiting a few minutes and then reconnecting.

Use a different browser,if you have a web accelerator turn it off
hope this helps

I recently installed my printer onto my computer by the cd given but then it got lost and i dont know where it is, but just a week ago i got a laptop and im trying to install my printer onto my laptop...

If you are using a router or modem on the network then the IP Address of the printer can be found out through the router/modem attached device list. Also, try taking a manual print out from the printer and check if it shows information of the IP address on it.

Our HP DesignJet 500 will not print.

If they changed the server queue, or possibly did not even reinstall the printer queue on the new server, all is not lost.

First try connecting to the printer directly using USB or parallel if that's an option. If you can set it up as a local printer and that works, at least you know the printer is fine.

If you can print a diagnostic page with all of the specs of the printer, you can find the IP address and print directly to the printer, bypassing the server print queue. You can also find it in the Setup, IO Setup section of the printer's control panel.

To create an IP print connection, add a new printer, choose local printer, then choose "create a new port" of type "Standard TCP/IP port". Then enter your printer's IP and point to the driver as before, and you should be able to go direct.

Can't print because of Error-offline status.

I found out that the IP address on the printer was different from the IP address that was available when the printer was first installed. After spending days trying to fix this, it was resolved in less than two minutes.
Go to the Printer Folder in the control panal and choose to Add a Printer. You will see the option to add the new printer ( wireless). Chose to install, and it will install the printer under the new IP address. It worked instantaneoulsy.

You also need to make sure the IP address is inputted into the printer ( check your guide for how to input the IP address)

What I dont know how to do is to keep the IP address static. Afger, it is not practical to do this each time it changes. If only the last digit changes, it may be as easy as switching to the printer available under the current IP address.

Cheers,

HP 9040n NOT RESPONDING

Try connecting this printer to a different network wall point in the building. If still no change then move back to original wall point and try changing the connection at the Switch end in the comms room.

If still having problems then try pinging the printer to see if it gives time out or execessively high pings. Got a PC on the network and in windows open a "command" prompt and type ping -t XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX where the address of the printer should be place of the x's.

If linux open a console and type the same thing ping -t XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX.
