Forgot phone unlock pattern

If you forgot the your pattern lock. Just do a factory reset of your phone. 1st. restart the unit then hold home button and volume up also the power. 2nd wait until the android logo appear. Then choose wipe data/ factory reset.

Hi Mate,

• On the unlock screen, enter your unlock pattern
• After five attempts you'll be asked to wait for 30 seconds. Tap OK
• If your phone display goes off, tap the power button and unlock your screen
• Tap Forgot pattern? If you haven't set up a Google account you won't get this option, instead you'll need to reset your tablet
• Enter the username and password of your Google account, tap Sign in
• You'll be asked to create a new screen unlock pattern. If you don't want one, tap Cancel

To reset your tablet:

1. Turn your tablet off
2. Hold the volume down key
3. Turn your tablet on
4. Using the volume down key, highlight Wipe data/factory reset and press the power key to select
5. Press the volume up key
6. The reset is now complete.

Note: Resetting your tablet will clear all the data stored, data that's stored on your SIM is safe.

UMX phones are Android based which means that the only way to have access to your device is to factory reset it. The key combination to enter recovery to reset your phone is: Volume UP/Down + Menu + Power button. In some cases it's just Volume Up/Down + Power button. Once you are in recovery select Wipe Data and restart your phone.

What exactly did you do? Hard reset set the phone as brand new, and no brand new phone comes with lock pattern. Just pressing the power and volume down key is not hard reset. After pressing theses combinations of keys, and the droid with the exclamation point show up, you must tap the home icon to get to the recovery, and from there scroll down to Wipe Data Factory, to select tap the menu icon, then choose yes and tap the menu icon again to select it. Go back, up to Reboot and tap the menu icon to reboot the phone. There should be no more lock.

My guess is that you have forgotten your unlock pattern, is that so? Couple ways to go. YOU WILL LOSE EVERYTHING IN THE MEMORY!!
1. Go to service shop and pay those guys to unlock it
2. Do it yourself: "power your phone off. The push volume up, home key and power key at the same time, when the phone vibrates (turns on) release POWER BUTTON BUT PUSH HOME KEY AND VOLUME UP until you see recovery (green android). From there navigate with volume buttons to "wipe data/factory reset". Then reboot system at top and voila back at work.

if you forgot the unlock pattern you can just click the forgot pattern option on the bottom of the screen. Just get the pattern wrong 5 times and wait 30 seconds and the button should appear. Once you press the button you will be taken to a screen where you can input the google account associated with the phone. It will unlock the phone for you if you know the google account username and password. Otherwise you're gonna have to do a hard reset on the phone. This will factory reset the phone.
