My sony handycam's door won't close, the error on the screen says to reattach the power sorce even when it's plugged into the mains

With battery attached, Power switch at OFF position and press Eject button and wait for few seconds.

Common problem with this mechanism. In order to fix the problem you will have to replace part called CHASSIS LS. Expensive repair, probably not worth the effort.

Hi,
Remove battery/ power source from camcorder for minute, reattach battery/ power source and close the tape door.
If that does not solve problem then I'm afraid, tape mechanism got defective and will be replaced.
