How to change red blue and green color on monitor hp7540
Press the menu button on the monitor, should be the far left button...use the minus and plus buttons to scroll thru the menu. Select the function you want by pressing the far right button (not the power). The function you want is the one witht the temp icon and the letter "K". press the far right buttion again and use the the plus and minus buttons to adjust the level.

I have an HP7540 monitor that I need to be able to change red, blue and green colors on thru the menu
I hope you know how to enter and navigate through the OSD (On-Screen Display) menu of your monitor.
Enter the menu and navigate to 'Color' menu.
Under that select 'User'.
Now you can select either Red, Green or Blue.
After selecting a color it can be increased or decreased.
Press Exit button to go back, select the next color and set it to your liking.

Dear Sir,

This problem is not from monitor side,check computer RAM.Clean it twice and reinstall it on place.If you are using VGA card then disconnect it from PCI slots and connect VGA cable to on board VGA . I think it solves your problem.Let me know

Im deeply disappointed with this HP7540 crt monitor. This settings menu that is only supposed to come up when pressing the button on the monitor, just keeps flickering and its continuously in my way. In...
Its not a software/driver issue, the button/curcuit board has gone bad which is giving the OSD (menu which comes on monitor). Tap the button multiple times to see if it was comming due to button getting stuck, that will be resolved. If not then you need to get it repaired. :( ... Repair will cost you more than to buying a new TFT monitor.

That sounds like a monitor issue, not a video card. Gradual fading means components within the monitor are wearing out. However, I strongly advice against attempting repairs. CRT monitors hold a strong electrical charge. People have been injured and even killed by attempting to work on them without proper tools and training. A 17" CRT monitor is too cheap to be worth the risk (you can often get them used... I got mine for $20 at Goodwill).
