That's it, that's the definitive answer-it clicks in the tank? The pump is bad, and will need replacing. It should turn on for about 2 seconds to pressurize the fuel line and system with key on-that is the hum you refer to.
when it won't start do u hear the hum of the in tank electric fuel pump when the key is tured to run, it will only hum for 1 sencond, so turning it back off and to run repeated times helps to hear the pump.
ok can u turn the tumbler freely,
if no well there is something stuck in you blower like a sock or something
if the tumbler turns freely
keep the door open and hold the door switch
try pushing the start button
and tuning the tumbler, yes all three at the same time lol you may need a hand
try tuning the tumbler when you hear a hum
if it takes off bad news your start winding on the motor is bad or the capacitor depending on your model
if it does not turn, but the hum continues longer than 1-2 minutes it could be just a belt
Usually, the door lock button should come on when you have the door open. Make sure it's fully shut before you try to start a cycle. Or, if you're talking about cancelling the spin cycle when you have about 2 minutes left, and then not being able to get the door open. You have to wait about 3 minutes. It even says in the manual, it will take about 3 minutes for the door to unlock. Just walk away and come back. Do not yank on the door for 5 minutes, as I used to do.
Its time to call the repairman. If its the motor humming its either bad or the dryer is froze up and unable to turn causing the motor to hum. Eventually it will trip the breaker.
