Your carburetor needs cleaned, or you need a new carb. kit. If you need tips on how best to do this, let me know.

SOURCE: echo gas leaf blower bog down
Likely dirt in high speed needle valve(H); could be leaky fuel line(air leaking in), plugged fuel filter, pinched fuel line, etc - anything restricting flow of fuel. Likely, you aggravated an existing problem by cleaning the air filter which would have been providing some choke effect if it were partially plugged.

Thank you for the responses. The blower was at Home Depot getting diagnosed and taking too long so I was going to do it myself. When I called to get the blower back, the tech went ahead and did the troubleshooting. He cleaned the carb and was able to start the blower and keep it running until the ran it at full speed, then it would quit. He said it would not develop full compression. Does someone know what would cause the low compression? And thanks again for all the responses and help.
The tech at Home Depot said the blower would need to be sent to Echo to be fixed. I went ahead and picked it up to see if it would work for me. I put the blower nozzle back on and it seemed to work. I was blowing a very dusty area and it started to quit and would start, then quit and not start back. I decided to take the air filter off and try to start it. It started up then and ran just fine. I put it on full speed and put the air filter back on and it continued running. I am going to get a new air filter and hope that fixes it. My faith in the Home Depot technicians is not very high. Thanks everyone for your help and comments - they sent me in the right direction.
