In my 2009 Eos, I have the VW Navigation/Radio system with the MDI connection in the console. A cable with a USB end is connected to this. How do I get the system to recognize the iPod as an AUX device?

Oddly enough something similar recently happened to my 2009 650i recently purchased. The system would intermittently cut out and restart, turning on the radio even with another source selected or radio off. No idea if there is a short or software issue causing it, but it started when I put the navigation DVD in and tried to use it. Took the DVD out and restarted the system, problem hasn’t returned. I’ve read about others having similar issues with the navigation system causing the radio/idrive to cut out as well. It’s a long shot, but worth posting so others don’t spend money chasing a problem solved by using your smartphone instead of the car’s navigation.

Most newer switches have auto detect MDI / MDI-X ports, but try a cross-over cable since this model is end of life.

There should of been a cable that came with Playstation to connect to a computer. The other end should connect USB to the computer.

Connecting to a PC
By using the USB cable, you can transfer the aptured photos and videos to a PC.

Follow the steps below to connect the camera to a PC.
1. Make sure both the camera and PC are turned on.
2. Connect one end of the supplied USB cable to the USB/AV OUT port on your camera.
3. Connect the other end of the cable to an available USB port on your PC.


Setting the USB mode

Since the camera’s USB port can be set to
connect with either a PC or a Printer, the
following steps will allow you to ensure that the camera is correctly configured to connect
with a PC.
1. Press the menu button and use the Up/Down navigation buttons to select USB Connect, and then press the Right navigation button.
2. Use the Up/Down navigation buttons to select PC.
3. Press the func ok button to confirm the setting.

Transferring files to your PC
The computer will automatically detect the camera as a removable drive. Double-click My Computer icon on the desktop to locate the removable drive and to copy the folders and files in the drive to a directory on
your PC as you would copy any typical folder.

Usually when it says sat ready, it means it is ready to control a satellite tuner that will have to be added on. I work on alot of cars that are satellite ready, and sell alot of radios that are satellite ready, and the all need a separate tuner for satellite. And yes, for the price, you would think it was included.

yes i have a solution,it is disabled for legall issues,but you can go into technician menu and turn off brake setting,you have to go into main menu and go to av setting in far left bottom corner,hit the upper right corner there is no item to touch ,bit tap corner and a drop down menu will appear ,enter 7253 and then enter,go to brake selection and sect till shows off and thats it,hope that helps

Please discard that the USB port or the USB cable are defective. You can do it if you try to hook your camera in other personal computer using the same USB cable. If it works, then follow the next instructions.

Connect your camera to the PC thru the USB cable and turn it on.

If you are using Windows, go to the Control panel - System - Hardware - Devices - and check if there is any device that was not recognized by Windows. Such devices are marked with a yellow question mark.

If so, get into the device item and with right mouse click, select to update the device driver.

If there was not unrecognized device, then you can unistall your USB port driver and then run a change hardware status to recognize the USB port again, then run the update driver routine.
