Most likly the battery is old and will not keep a charge. I just replaced my battery for about $50 a few weeks ago. Go to a story like Battery + for a replacement. It worked for me.

I asked this same question about my vector system 6 months ago. My solution is " do not ask fixya.com " This is just another web site trying to rip you off by making you pay after they entice you that they have a solution for your problem. File a complaint with the BBB or FTC against Vector. You went to vector to get an answer to your problem. What did you get....fixya.com.....not vector. Why should you have to pay for information that vector should do automactically in order to support thier product. Your problem is a limit switch inside your battery box, needs replacing. The only problem is you have to pay to get that part number. It's like you going to checkers and asking for a part for your car and they charge you 20 bucks to look up the part number for you.

I just read manual and it states that the Vector jump start needs to be connected to battery before it turns on.

for one you can damage the electric system in the car if you jump it and do not remove the positive cable of the jumper cables immediately after it starts.

Was getting a jump and the lights came on as if it was working and when my friend hit his gas to jump the car everything whent off and wont come back on even when he jump it again

sounds like possible blown fuses, ecm, or just a loose or bad connection on the battery. check the terminals on your car from the battery to your car, not the jumper cables. if there is alot of corrosion, you'll have a bad connection. clean that and try again, also, try not to use a neg. ground to ground. find another place on the car for the negative jumper cable. if there is a problem with the alt. on one car, it can transfer to the other car
