Convergance problem I have a convergance problem and I have tried to adjust it put can not do it,any suggestions

press mute 183, if it isn't 183 it's 138.   You will see a large grid which you get the fun of adjusting, it's tedious as all get out! Enjoy!

Sounds like a convergence amp failure. Depending on model, there may be 1 or 2 large Ics. Due to the delicate soldering involved, a tech should change these amps.Often the old part numbers have been upgraded, and small value resistors may need to be changed also.

are the resisters ok?

Try to adjust the convergance adjustment.If it is not adjusting by menu then try to change the ic convergance.

hmmm curious why you would adjust convergance to adjust a dark picture?press menu button on remote and scroll down

are you have convergance problems?
convergance amp ic are know to go bad with this set.

Go into the menu and look for Screen Convergence. It may also have an auto convergance option try that first. If it gives a suto error or you cant adjust it manually the convergance IC's may be bad or a component on the convergance board.

You are going to need a full convergance alignment to rectify this issue.

If you can not correct the convergence with custumer settings is because something went wrong inside the tv and it has to be diagnosed and corrected by a service technician,you are correct there are setting you can access with the remote but are usually adjusted after you have replace a major component.I would suggest you call for service,I do not believe is a problem you created or you could have prevented.

most like tes thats all your going to have to replace + the silicon as if you dont thet wil not last as long as they should. Also you may have blow fuseable resistors next to the ICs make sure you check them as well.
