How do i remove a commerical lockset?

For Schlage, Corbin-Russwin, Falcon brands, you remove the inside knob by sticking a long metal pin or a straightened out large paperclip into the hole in the knob towards the edge of the door and press in the springy retainer. In some brands, you have to back off the rose to get to the retainer. While pressing in the retainer, pull the knob away from the door. If the pin is all the way in, the knob won't move away more than about 3/32", so after it starts moving, remove the pin and the knob should come off the rest of the way. If the inside knob has a keyhole, then you need to turn the key about 90 degrees or as far as it will go, before the retainer will move. If you don't have a key, then pick it, or drill the pins so it will turn. If you don't care what happens to the old lock because you are going to replace it, you can cut off the inner knob with a hacksaw. Cut as close to the rose as possible. Once you have the knob off, use a spanner tool to remove the inside rose trim without scratching it, and then pull the lock out of the door from the outside. If you don't care about the lock, you can use a pipe wrench or pliers to remove the rose. On non-commercial locks, you remove a decorative cover over the inside rose trim, and then have to remove a couple of screws to get the inside trim off the door, then you can remove the lock from the outside of the door.

Our schlage lock with thumbturn on inside and keyed on outside. When unlock inside, knob turns freely as if it is really unlocked but if I close door, I get locked out. Please help

Be sure the outside knob is unlocked before closing the door.
Schlage locks do not lock the inside knob or lever. After releasing the turn button, also turn the inside lever or knob, then check the outside knob.
What model of lock is this?

My isuzu trooper driver door won't unlock

If the door wouldn't close how did you close it to lock it and have to exit out the passage side door? Anyway if the door is open like you said and it's locked you can easily access the locking mechanism without removing the side panel. It's on the side of the door, not the inside and not the outside, but the thin strip visible only when you open the door. There will be two metal pieces that clasp together. You can separate them manually, this will unlock the door.

I need to change the lock in my drivers side door

first with the L/F window lowered, remove the door trim. Before disconnecting window switch, raise the window all the way up . Now, look inside the door to where the lock cylinder is. You need to unclip the attached linkage to the lock cylinder. Remove "C" clip, ( careful you don't damage outer door panel ) securing cylinder to door and remove lock.

Door lock is loose

Inside plate arond the base of the knob needs to pop off.

Try removing the knob from the inside. Look for a place the push in with a flat head screwdriver. A release point is there some where.

After the knob is off the plate should come off and reveal the screws.

Door lock problem

Even though it's a 2001, it's still an A3, so the locks are operated using a separate vacuum pump, and hard plastic lines. Check inside the drivers door hinge area. Remove that accordion thing over the wires. There's a vacuum coupling centrally located after you twist, and separate the lock on the harness connector, and separate the 2 parts. There is also, a little tiny "o"-ring that seals the vacuum passage. Replace it, and see if the wait is shorter. I highly recommend using a little Vaseline to aid in the insertion , and seal of the new o-ring. Good luck.
