have you tried plugging the screen into another PC? Is the power etc connected and not loose? Is there a power light on the front? If you can connect remotely try changing the resolution to something lower incase the screen cannot handle high res
You have a bad screen and it will eventually burn out. This is due to running your screen in a higher res than what the comp was factory set at. Indefinite higher res times shorten screen life by half or better. You will need to replace your screen.
Change the resolution to something like 1024x768 or higher. this should get it back to where it was before someone fiddled with it. Some Games are notorious for altering res of TV. Check out which game ( if this is what happened) is resetting the resolution.
I had this same problem, there is a thin line of wires connecting the bottom half and top half of the sliders, after awhile it just plain wears out and will generally crack, without these wire anything on the front of your phone will no longer work. The screen is black but stil lights up a little bit and occasionally the buttons light up but its pretty much toast I'm sorry to say. I upgraded to a HTC Touch Pro 2 and am happier than ever!
