If it is a Cd jukebox then either the laser eye needs cleaning or you have a laser unit fault.

Jukebox won't play record- Wurlitzer 3200 Americana 2

If your Wurlitzer 3200 Americana 2 jukebox is not playing records, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check the power supply: Ensure that the jukebox is receiving power. Check the power cord, connections, and any fuses or circuit breakers that may be relevant. Make sure the jukebox is properly plugged into a functioning power outlet.
  2. Clean the record player mechanism: Over time, dust, dirt, or debris can accumulate on the record player mechanism, causing it to malfunction. Carefully clean the mechanism using a soft cloth or a gentle brush to remove any dirt or particles. Be cautious not to apply excessive force or damage any delicate components.
  3. Check the needle: Examine the needle (stylus) on the record player arm. Ensure that it is intact, clean, and properly aligned. If the needle is damaged or worn out, it may need to be replaced. Consult the jukebox's manual or contact customer support for guidance on needle replacement for the Wurlitzer 3200 Americana 2 model.
  4. Adjust the tonearm: Verify that the tonearm is properly balanced and set at the correct tracking force. Refer to the jukebox's manual for instructions on adjusting the tonearm. Incorrect tracking force or balance can prevent the needle from making proper contact with the record and result in playback issues.
  5. Verify record selection and loading: Ensure that the jukebox has been properly loaded with records and that the correct record selection has been made. Check if there are any obstructions or misalignments in the record selection and loading mechanism.
  6. Seek professional assistance: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it's recommended to contact a qualified jukebox technician or the manufacturer's customer support. They will have specific knowledge of the Wurlitzer 3200 Americana 2 model and can provide further guidance or arrange for repairs if necessary.

My Sony CD player CDP-CX355 loads the CD,clamps it in place, doesn't spin it but puts it back on the carousel after 5 seconds.

The loading process is out of sync, most likely because of a stretched belt in the mechanism. This is a common problem with Sony "jukeboxes".

After selecting disc , it loads ok but disc does not turn and then rejects , also the number 119 an and then 09 appear in selection dissplay , woundered if fault code , used last time worked fine allthough...

This could also be a progaming problem. It just means that too many plays have been used. You just need to reset and the disc should play. If you do not have a manual, ask any dealer and they can walk you through it. It entails switching on the service switch and putting in a quick code. Then you will start from the beginning. For example, 9999, will entitle you to that many plays.

Hi, I have a Wurlitzer 3600 Superstar that I am working on. I am having trouble figuring out why the carousel won't stop spinning. It is looking for it's "Home" position, but won't stop. If I select a...

Look at the switch and solenoid assembly at 1 oclock on the carousel. That is what activates to set it going and it then clocks off a ratchet wheel to do two full cycles looking for a selection then stops. If it gets stuck the carousel wont stop.

Wurlitzer 3600 series wont select a record ?

If the buttons don't latch in, the machine is not in credit. Put on free play or put some money in.

Only plays certain numbers

If it is a 200 selection machine you probably have a jammed number solenoid in the selector unit. This prevents the machine being able to move the solenoids to the correct number. Look at the circular selector unit with 'pins' on it under the carousel. at the bottom of that you will see a circular disc with 'teeth' all around it. When the jukebox is at rest or turned off you should be able to gently rotate that plate with the teeth on it. If it is jammed then that's your problem and will need some serious fixing.

Record Changer Arm

When the carousel reaches the correct count, the computer sends a signal to the gripper motor to start it. You could have a bad motor or a bad computer. But!....if the little switch at the front of the machine is in the off position (Gripper motor On/Off) that will give exactly the same effect. It's easy to knock Off when you are loading CDs.

Wurlitzer follow up question.........

Ok a few things it could be.
Firstly as it is spinning it could be simply be that the optical assembly is wrongly adjusted or even dirty.
The other least likely scenario is a progamming error - did you do any programming to the jukebox when you received it for things like how many cds it is holding and free play etc?
The reason I favour the first scenario is because I had exactly the same problem (although mine was not even spinning). The two things I did were to toggle the service switch on the S&CC board then switch the power on and off then give the magnetic clamp above the turntable a bit of a tap and voila it started working again! Not exactly scientific I know.
BTW do you have the manual - if not then here is the link for it to help you further.

This will also help you do any functional tests (chapter 13) to help you get to the bottom of the problem.

Wurlitzer 1015 OMT Disc spins, then stops....

When the disc is taken from the carousel and put on the player how long does it take for it from the time it is placed onto the player to being returned to the carousel? Also is the cd spinning when its on the player or not spinning at all. The answers to these questions should help in pinpointing the actual problem.
