Trouble downloading songs

I am having trouble downloading songs to my delstar ds-31024.  I drag the songs to the f: drive/music.  The songs show to be in the file. But when I check my mp3 player it shows no files.  This isn't covered in the manual.

I took it back and got a different model. The new one worked fine. And as for converting them to mp3, I did that and it did not work. I think this is just a bad player. When I took it back the lady at the store said they have had a lot of them returned.

Convert files to MP3 then load to unit

You are probably transferring files from ITunes that are probably not MP3 files. I am having the same problem. I noticed that the MP3 files that I copy from CD will work, but not the "protected" files from iTunes.

I don't know how to fix this but maybe there is a bypass??

I don't know how to download songs to my delstar mp3. how do i download songs from my computer to my mp3?

first, you plug your mp3 player into a unoccupied usb port on your computer. then, it should come up as a drive and you simply copy and paste your music onto said drive.
hope this helps ;-)

Just to make sure...are you using supported file types? Do the files you are trying to use have DRM (digital rights management) on them that would prevent them from being used on other equipment? This means did you buy them online from a source like i-Tunes or Walmart. Try using a plain jane mp3. if you don't have one put a cd in your computer and rip it as mp3 files in window media player. Then try moving those files to the Delstar. Or try placing files it from another computer.

Go into Windows Media, get your music library out. You should see the mp3 device on the right side of the screen. All you have to do is drag and drop the songs you need.

the unit should come w/a mini cd of the current driver. if not, drivers are available for download online. windows 2000 and xp will automatically recognize 'new hardware' when you connect the unit to your computer's usb port. look for usb icon in the sys tray (lower right corner of your desktop) it shows that the unit has been found.

1. open 'my computer' and look for, nost likely, (E) drive. that is the delstar unit. leave the window open and adjust the window size to long and narrow.

2. open 'my documents' scroll to 'my music' or go to where ever your music files are stored. leave the window open and adjust the window size so that your two open windows are side by side.

3. simply right click a song file (.mp3), select 'copy.'

4. move your cursor to the (E) drive window. right click in the open area and click 'paste.'
-- simple as that!

Deb..yes it will work on an apple computer, but it may not be Itunes you just have to drag drop your mp3s problem with it may be you will have duplicate files...with mac when you transfer the music it also transfers the resourse fork...resulting in useless duplicate files on mp3 player, there is a little program called findercleaner for osx that will easily remove all the useless resource forks each time you transfer a bunch of new files just have findercleaner clean your mp3 player. really easy program and only takes a couple seconds to do it.
