I would start up in safe mode, and disable that driver. It sounds like it is a bad driver on your new pc. Then turn off the pc, hook up your new monitor and start up fresh. Your pc should automatically find the best compatible driver for you. If this won't do, can you please list the driver you did use? Maybe we can search for another one that would be compatible with your model monitor.

Video driver is not installed

The computer should run under default VGA drivers (basic colours, 640 x 480 resolution) you should find and remove any Nvidia software then go to www.nvidia.com and download new drivers, install them restart the computer and then set things like screen resolution, colour depth extended monitor etc.
Good luck.

You need to install the latest drivers for your graphics card, so your computer can run at a higher resolution.

Nvidia Graphics Driver for Nvidia made Graphics Card.

AMD Graphics Driver for AMD Radeon made Graphics Card.

Select your Graphics Card model and Operating System.

Download and install.

Note: Only use the drivers provided for your make and model of graphics card!!!

The grafics on my computer are fuzzy. What's an easy fix.

There are many fixes that you can make to solve this problem. However the best way to fix this is to get a new video or graphics card. My computer runs on a NVidia Riva 128/128ZX graphic/Video Card and operates with a Gateway EV700 CRT monitor. The NVidia Riva 128/128ZX card is an older one, but is a very strong card, I'd choose any NVidia graphics card. You may also want to check for a new monitor like a flat screen LCD monitor, that may help clear things up a bit.

Good luck!

Computer Moniter screen turned purple

Hi,

This is a problem with the video cards hardware or the driver itself depending on your card you should updaate your cards driver from the appropriate site, right click the desktop>properties>settings>advanced>ada... will then see the name and manufacturer of your graphic card
go to the appropriate website and download the latest driver, here are the three main graphic card manufacturers websites
1) nvidia.....http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.asp...
2)a.t.i.....http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html
3)intel...http://support.intel.com/
other things to check are
1.make sure your graphic card is securely fitted and if power is required to the card, then check the power connector is securly fitted and inserted
2.try changing your monitors lead from the v.g.a connector to the d.v.i connector at the back of the card, the v.g.a. is a blue connector and the d.v.i. is a white connector, and the d.v.i requires a d.v.i to v.g.a converter
3.where applicable install any monitor drivers however these are rarely required
4.run the direct x diagnostic utility, press start>run>type dxdiag >press enter, then go to the display tab and run the "test direct 3d" test
5.finally check all cables are securly fitted
if after these tests and tasks you still experience problems then change the graphics card and run the tests again,if you experience more problems then a new video/graphic card is required
any problems let me know
good luck .......

Hi Alvie
I Just checked the specs on both the card and the monitor. It should work no problem. If for some reason you notice some lag or flicker in the monitor, go to this page and download the updated ForceWare graphics drivers.

Monitor will not change resilution or screen size.

Sounds like your ether running the computer in safe mode are you need to reinstall your graphics card driver.
If you are running it in safe mode which I seriously doubt then it should say Safe mode in the corners of the screen and all you should have to do is restart the computer and everything should be ok

More likely your graphics card driver is messed up for some reason.
the easy way to update and fix the driver is to go to the manufacturer of the graphics cards web site and download the newest driver

to check what card you have go to display properties, the settings tab , click advanced then click the adapter tab and it should tell you what type it is.

when you know what brand and model you have you can go to the manufacturers download site and download the latest driver set and run the installer. these are only some of most common manufacturers I didn't mention yours just google it.

for intel graphics its
http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/
for
Nvidia its
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
for
ATI its
http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html

wouldn't hurt to do a virus scan sounds like something corrupted that driver and that can't be good or it could just be windows being strange
A good free antivirus if you don't have one is AVG

hope that helps!

HP Monitor blanking out on full screen mode

It may be worth going to the game makers web site and see if there are any patches regarding your make of your graphics card. It may also be the fact that the game resolution does not match the screen resolution, try changing it in the game settings if it's possible for you to do so, as the monitor seems to be struggling with the change of resolution as you start up the game.
