Sharp XE-A102 Cash Register

For some reason the  register will continue to record amounts typed in when the total button is pressed.
For example; type in the price of a pint of lager @ £2.40 and sub-total it, and press total. The register will enter the amount again and again for several times.

I think that one of the bar staff has pressed a programming key inadvertantly and added a programme to the machine.

Is it possible to reset the default settings to factory mode?

If I can do this I think that the machine will revert to it's normal mode.

If you have any information on this I would like to know.

    Thanks.

Describe use of department keys please

Hi. They are category buttons and they are used to input amounts into a category. For example, a cafe may have their departments labelled coffee, cold drinks, hot food, cold food etc. When using the department in REG mode, you type the price on the numeric buttons (remember never to use a decimal point. $5.50 would be typed as 550) then press the department that the product belongs to. Do this for each of the items you are selling, press SUBTOTAL to bring up the amount for the customer, then pay for the sale with one of the payment types (cash, credit etc). The rest of programming for departments depends upon the brand and model. Hope this helps.

I have a Casio PCR-262 electronic cash register and I want to add on it and use the receipt paper at the same time.

Turn the key to REG mode Type the amount to add (dollars and cents with NO decimal point e.g $5.50 = 550) Press a department button (the ones to the right of the numeric pad) Type the next price, then press a dept button again Press CASH (CA) when finished

Casio te-2400 cash register- making transactions

Try this: Turn key to program mode 0 CASH SUBTOTAL 3 SUBTOTAL 0 CASH SUBTOTAL
This should remove the preset amount from the CASH button. Now it should work normally when finishing the sale.
Now turn back to REG mode when entering the price, DO NOT use a decimal, so type 2000 for 20 dollars. Now press a PLU (item) button. SUBTOTAL Type the amount received (NO DECIMAL, so 5000 for 50 dollars) Press CASH Change should be displayed, and drawer open

Casio TK-2700

Hi. Sorry, I've been busy. Just got back to your message.
If you want to reset all of the PLUs (quantity and amount) in the usual way, then you turn to Z mode, then type the PLU reset number. I can't remember which code it is. Try typing 12 then press CASH. If you get the wrong report, then type 13 then CASH and so on. I think it might be 15 CASH but it's been a while since I did them. When you see 'PLU' at the top of the report then you have the right one.
This won't affect your programming. It will just reset the sales totals for each PLU.

Casio Register 265P - Doubling Tax in Sales Total

Hi.
That could be tricky. we will need to go through the tax setup in your machine.

My first questions are:

1. Does it happen on all department (item buttons)?
2. Does it happen no matter what payment method you use (cash, check, credit)?
3. When you push Subtotal, does it show the wrong amount then, or only when you press a payment type to open the drawer?

Hi.
You might have compulsory amount tend turned on.
If you press SUBTOTAL, then type in the amount on the display (no decimal point), then press ca/amt, does it work? If not, then you may have mucked up the cash button settings. Does it work if you use another payment type like CREDIT CARD?
