Jandy Hand held reads the wrong wrong pool temperatrure

The air temp is correct the pool reads 171 but if you press the temp button on the Jandy Control panel outside it gives the correct pool temp. Solar heater won't come on hand held says enabled and spa heater won't come on it says enabled. does the panel pull its temp from a different probe or from the chlorine generator's sensor?

The chlorine generator is giving you a correct readout of your pool temp. however, your water temp sensor is bad. if you look at your filter pump, follow the pipe coming from the top of the pipe, until you see a metal clamp. withthe system off, remove the clamp and pul out the sensor from the pipe and replace with a new 10k ohm temp sensor. NOTE: Older Jandy systems used black temp sensors, the new sensor may be slightly larger. use a masonry drill bit to bevel the old hole out for the new sensor, and replace the wires.

youll need a cordless drill and a drillbit to match the same size as the new sensor. Drill very slowly and very carefully, so you dont go through both sides of the pipe, just the top. I prefer to use masonry drill bits. There are 2 ways to rewire the sensor, the first would be to splice into the wire close to the sensor, using waterproof connectors, connect the red to the red and the black to the black. The 2nd way to rewire the new sensor in, would be to remove the front panel on the outdoor control box, then trace the wires back to their place on the green bar and replace them with a small flathead screwdriver.

SOURCE: I have Jandy RS4 system with 4-button poolside

Pull the cover off the control panel. You will probably find a button which would be accessible from outside the panel with a paper clip or pencil but is unlabeled. On the board itself by the button, in small letters it should say "reset". Push the button and see what happens.

Low coil temperature on jandy air energy titanium pool heater

If this is a problem only when the air temp out side is cooler than normal and your water temp is low, then the unit is performing correctly. The heatpump is having trouble performing with low ambient air temp because when the temp gets to low the coil will ice up.

Jandy panel reads 89 degrees, sta rite heater panel reads the right temp 78.

Standard 10K ohm sensor appears to be compromised. Replace it.
You have one for water temp, one for air temp, and one for the solar if you have one.

Heater reads spa water 15 degrees higher than it is

Double check to make sure he put the sensor on the inlet side of the heater. Sounds like you are reading temp of water leaving the heater.

Jandy aqualin rs air temp malfunction

Check this by swapping your air sensor with your water sensor. (Just swap the plugs) if it still reads off then you may need a new board, if this reads ok then the new sensor may be bad. Good luck.
