You don't make it clear which type of memory entry you are trying to delete. If you download the manual from here:

save to your desktop and then open with Acrobat Reader, you will be able to search for the particular option you require. I tried "delete" and scrolled through the entries containing these letters quite quickly. Well worth a try I would think.

This could be due to the fact that one of your phones is off the hook or unplugged. Check and make sure that all devices are operational and charged.. Try applying a warm damply wet cloth on the back when attempting to open the battery cover..Don't forget to check the phone line itseft.
