Having the same problem with my iphone. Screen freezes up & becomes unresponsive, especially when I tap the Settings icon - all I get is a white screen then I have to hold both buttons in simultaneously to hard boot it. Then it takes forever to initialize (I've now been trying to get it to initialize to AT&T for over 30 minutes. It keeps saying..... "searching". I hate this phone.

My screen is frozen and I cannot restart my iPhone 8S . Help

This means is able to settle many iPhone problems, including iPhone frozen during update. Although it is simple, it really works.

To hard reset iPhone, different iPhone models have different methods:

- If you have an iPhone 6S or earlier version, you need to press and hold the Home and Power button for several seconds.

- If you own an iPhone 7 or later version, you can hold and press the Power and Volume down button at the same time to force restart it.

It is a good idea to recover your frozen iPhone with iTunes as well. It would not be as simple as the previous one but you still can have a try if you fail to solve the problem by rebooting the mobile phone forcefully.

How can I fix my phone if it is frozen

Hi Maria, what kind of cell phone do you use?

If you're an iPhone user and the device is crashed or frozen, the force reboot solution works well, but it can sometimes cause an unresponsive iPhone with a black screen that appears dead because it isn't responsive to anything.

Press and hold both the "Home" and "Power" button for at least 10 seconds. You can see the Apple logo and your iPhone will reboot. Your iPhone will back to normal again. Generally speaking, restarting your iPhone will solve the freezing issue and complete the iOS 9/8 update.

Press and hold both the POWER and the HOME buttons together until your iPhone restarts (around 5 to 10 seconds) or until you see the Apple logo..

Screen frozen

Try a hard reset first. (menu and on/off button together for 5sec) if it boots again, but then doesn't repspond touch sensor screen needs replacement. Take it to the apple store and see if they'll give you a replacement. If they don't there are third party iPhone Repair Services that can fix it for you. There are also free iPhone Repair guide that show you how to fix it yourself.

IPhone Freeze - Panic: We are hanging here

Hello!

try this simple steps to recover your iphone:

-- Turn off your iPhone by holding the "Sleep/Wake" button for about five seconds and then sliding the red slider.
-- If your iPhone is already off, there's no need to turn it on and then off again.
-- Once it's turned off, press and hold the "Home" button and plug the iPhone into your Mac or PC.
-- Keep holding the "Home" button until you see a yellow triangle and text which says "Please Connect to iTunes".
-- New iPhones will show a dock cable next to the iTunes icon.
-- You can now release the button.

-- Open iTunes (if it's not already open) and you will be told that "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode".
-- Click "OK" and you will be taken to the iPhone pane. --
-- Click restore and you're done.

Depending on the extent of your iPhone's ills, it may take some time to do a full restore. Once you're done, however, you should again have a perfectly working iPhone.
