Send it in or trade it in if you have no warranty available.

Go to contact list and see if the number is listed. IF it is, press the number and hold, you should get a pop up with a menu that has block checked on it. Uncheck it.

if you wont mind losing your data that are not backup... you can simply perform a hard reset to factory settings. 1. remove the battery 2. re-instert the battery 3. hold VolumeDown button then press the power button Do not release the volumedown key til u get to recovery mode Now that you are in recovery mode, first try WIPING CACHE and then reboot your phone. if the problem persist, then repeat step1-3 again this time, select WIPE DATA FACTORY RESET if wiping cache solves it, then your data are intact WIPING DATA FACTORY RESET wil return ur phone to new without losing any unlocking feautures. i'm McKennie

Download and install the Nextel Connection Manager software.

Samsung Epic 4G Phone into a Wi-Fi Hotspot

The Samsung Epic 4G smart phone allows you to convert your phone into a Wi-Fi hotspot and connect up to five devices.
Such a set-up will keep you from running around searching for an area that offers free Wi-FI. If you're stuck in an airport or staying overnight at a hotel, you won't have to pay extra for Internet service.
You can connect your laptop or other media device to your phone's Wi-Fi network.

Press the "Home" button, which looks like the outline of a house, on the bottom of your Samsung Epic 4G phone.
Click the "Menu" button to the left of the "Home" button.

Click the "Settings" icon, which looks like a gray box with a spoke in the middle.


Scroll through the list and click "Wireless & Networks."


Press "4G" until a check mark appears, indicating the 4G network is enabled.


Click the "Home" button.
The 4G icon will appear to the left of your signal bars in the upper-right corner of your screen.
The separate sets of bars above the 4G logo indicate the strength of your 4G signal.
When the bars above the 4G logo are completely gray and the 4G logo is white, you have a weak signal.
When you are no longer receiving a 4G signal, your 4G logo will be gray and a 3G logo will appear, indicating that the 3G network is now enabled. If both of the logos disappear, you are not receiving any signal.
You must have either a 3G or a 4G signal to use your phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Enable Sprint Hotspot
Press the "Applications" icon, a blue box with four whites squares in it, in the lower-right corner of your Samsung Epic 4G phone.

Press the "Sprint Hotspot" icon, which looks like a phone with two signal bars on the right side, until a check mark appears to the right of the icon, signaling the Spring hotspot function is enabled.
A pass-key allowing you to connect other devices to the phone's network will appear on the screen.
Write the pass-key down.


Enable Wi-Fi on your laptop or other device that you want to tether to your Samsung Epic 4G phone.


Search for the Wi-Fi network affiliated with your Samsung Epic 4G phone.
The name of the network will begin with "SPH-D700XXX."
To change the name of the Wi-Fi network affiliated with your Samsung Epic 4G phone, press the "Menu" button; the "Settings" icon; and "Device Name." Enter the new name for phone's Wi-Fi network.


Click the network affiliated with your Samsung Epic 4G phone on the device you want to tether to your phone'ss Wi-Fii network.
Enter the pass-key, and click "OK."
Your device will now be tethered to the Wi-Fi hotspot on your Samsung Epic 4G phone.

Pull the battery and wait at least one minute, install battery and try again, Android is far from being prone from freezing

Sprint and HTC are aware of the problem.People experiencing the same problem seem to be unimpressed by the quality of Sprint's tech support.

The latest info that I have is:


Sprint HTC EVO 4G owners will be notified by their phones that an update is available. Once installed, HTC EVO 4G will have the 3.30.651.3 version. For those of you who use and noticed problems using Qik and Tango, this update is said to fix this bug.

The only HTC EVO owners who will need to update their phones to fix this bug are those who have the newest HTC EVO 4G sold with a version of 3.30.651.2. For HTC EVO 4G owners with version 3.29.651.1...sorry, but you will not be notified of the update due to the fact that the update will not apply to you.

The battery is deceiving you. This is actually a battery problem and you just need a new battery to fix it. Visit the store and get a new battery order. They will cost little to nothing.

Sorry but you cannot connect it to boast mobile. That phone is a sprint exclusive phone.

With sprint you can get an Airave device that will be like your own personal cell tower covering up to 5,000sqft in your home, however no carrier will garuntee service indoors... I would stick with sprint we have the largest 3g and 4g networks and can get service indoors with the Airave device.

WOW...Hi, bballgurl4321. Unfortunatly that exact same problem jus happened to me earlier this week...what i did was, i took my phone up to a sprint store actually today lol jus got home actually..but i took it up there and LG discontinued the LG Rumor..im guessing from so many deffects and problems that seem like they never stop. ive had 3 diffrent LG Rumors so yea its a horrible phone...but anyway, they replaced my LG Rumor with the new LG Rumor2...the same day...and so far so good..so try that...u should gt the same results and they should give u the free upgraded LG Rumor 2
