GP338 with wifi router

Can I use a motorola GP338 to interface with a wifi router? Basically I want to interface the motorola with a broadcast system onboard a ship. Is it possible? And if so, how?

Your GP338 would need to be reprogrammed to one or more of the frequencies available in the T5720. If you are using the interference code eliminator, it would also need to be programmed into the GP338. Take your GP338 to your local Motorola dealer for reprogramming.

Wifi discovery problem. I have installed a Motorola SBG900i. All my wifi devices have had trouble discovering the SSID. When I do a scan available networks it does not exist. I forced 2 laptops to...

Assuming you haven't changed your modem's settings...

Access the modem by typing http://192.168.100.1 in your browser.
Enter the default username admin and password motorola
On the left frame, click Wireless
Click on the Security tab
Under the tab, click Advanced
Untick Disable ESSID Broadcast

How do you get the wifi to work from ds to computer?

Do you mean "NINTENDO DS"?

The game platforms (ie: Nintendo, Xbox, and such) are not PC operating systems.
A router that broadcasts WIFI only interfaces the two in that there is another device on the network.
If anything can be done, it might be possible to treat the game platform as a spare drive by sharing the contents.
This is very rare, as the game platform software is not designed for this.

If this is not what you intended, them a more detailed explanation of what you need might be in order.

Can I connect a Desktop PC without WIFI capability to the ethernet connection and at the same time connect a WIFI router via the USB connection?

yes 4 sure......i am currently using internet connection from Ethernet port...and i am broadcasting my internet connection to my friends using a router connected to my PC.

So you can connect both of them simultaneously...enjoy..!!

I guess your modem router was already configured well since it worked already previously. It seems that your motorola router is set to broadcast dynamic IPs (DHCP enabled) and your last connected Pc and laptop were configured with static IP. Please check your "network connection" setting and make sure it is set to "Obtain IP automatically"

Can I use my router just as a Wireless router with a DSL .

i doubt it will work. most times the cable companies give you a modem/router all in one box. the problem is there in no inbound connection to recieve an internet signal other than the cable cord connection. with the dsl modem you will need a seperate router. they cost around $40-50 on avg
