PUK Codes

A PUK (PIN Unlock Key) code is required to unlock SIM cards that have become locked following three successive incorrect PIN entries. If your SIM card becomes locked, you will need to get a PUK code from AT&T to unlock your SIM card.

Since I don't know the name of you carrier, I'm using AT&T as an example. Most carriers use the same methodology though the wording may be different.

You can obtain your phone's PUK code from AT&T in one of these ways:

• Log in to myAT&T online
• Use our Technical Support Chat.
• Contact Customer Care


To get your phone's PUK code online:

? Log in to myAT&T.
? From the myAT&T tab at the top of the page, hover over the Wireless link and select Phone/Device under the My Wireless Service heading.
? From the My Phone/Device screen, select the Unblock SIM Card link under the My Make & Model heading.
? The Unblock SIM screen will display your PUK code and will give you instructions for unblocking your SIM Card.

Once you receive your PUK code, you will need to enter it into your phone to set a new PIN code.

Hi,

IF you put PUK code many times depending on the model it wil lock the sim card. This is because to prevent unathorised person using your SIM card.

Default PIN code for nokia mobile is 0000
PUK code will be given by the service provider only.

Please call your service provider or go to service provider office,they will assist you in this issue.And they will have a security check like name,Phone number and other information to check weather the SIM card belongs to you only.Then they will assit you.

Hi, If you get error message as PIN blocked. Unlock?" You have entered the wrong PIN code too many times. You need to unlock your phone using the PUK (PIN Unlocking Key) code. Your PUK code is provided by your network operator. If you get error message as Insert correct SIM" You have inserted a SIM card that is not supported. Insert correct SIM card, or contact your Service Provider for a SIM unlock code. If you get error message as Phone locked" or "Enter PIN" Your phone is locked and you need to unlock it with your personal PIN. if u have a pc card or a card bus insert ur sim card there then from there u can change the settings of ur sim card

u cant get a phone lock

The puk code is a code associated to SIM card , not to the phone.

You have to choices, call the phone company or replace the SIM card inside.

The PUK code is asked if you enter a wrong pin 3 times.

You need to call the phone company that released the SIM card, they can retrieve the PUK code from a database for free.

In your case you need to contact your SIM card provider technical support to unlock the SIM.


The PIN and PUK are related to the SIM card, not to the phone.

If you replace the SIM card with a different one, then the phone will not ask for the PUK anymore.
