Yes, you need Sonic Stage software installed in PC to transfer mp3 files in this Sony MP3 Player.
Click Sony Support, select OS running in PC in drop down list to download Sonic Stage software, install it in PC then connect mp3 player with PC and transfer files through Sonic Stage.

Can't see the music files.


Possible that it was not loaded with the required software fo Apple ipods--the itunes.
If so you must download this software from apples site -itunes download , install in your PC and convert the required media files to be transfered to the Ipod.
The seonc possiblity is that the files are corrupt , maybe a virus infection.
Connect Ipod and use you PC virus scan to check and quarantine.

DOES MY REFURBISHED E260 MP3 PLAYER REQUIRE SOFTWARE FOR MY COMPUTOR SO THAT I CAN DELETE AND DOWNLOAD MUSIC


yes your pc needs whatever software you choose (limewire, bearshare, windows media player etc) if you like to download music...also depending on what os you are using your e260 (once plugged in the pc will find that drive software) should be a drive in my computer...and if so you are able to delete files if you wish...

You would have to go on the site and download the software for Windows 2000 ( I saw they have a version for Philips Manager for other versions of Windows)

First connect your player to the pc via usb install the drivers.
