R u using original toner? if no, replace ori. if yes, r the hot roller in the fuser hot enough? is there any gap between hot roller and pressure roller? toner smear can only be caused by non ori toner or faulty fuser unit. Faulty developer can cause sandy print out
You didn't say that you swapped out the toner. Let's come back to that point later.
Put paper in the manual feed tray. Print something. As soon as the paper feeds halfway into the printer, open the top cover. Pull out the toner, look down at the paper. Is it mostly black? If the answer is yes....replace the toner. Vacuum out the inside of the printer and print again. I think you have a bad toner cartridge
the machine is only designed for 80gsm paper. you can change paper type through printer options in printer manager to card stock. it wil probably not work though as it is really only designed for 80gsm paper. the toner need to be heated to 200oC inorder to fuse to the paper cardstock absorbs less heat than normal paper.
