The screen will turn black but you can still hear it

Sounds like the fl tube inverter board power is failing. All flat panel screens us thin fluorescent tubes to light the edges of the screen, and when the tubes fail either from age or due to a power issue the screen will go black.

the LCD of your phone is not working, check the flex or ribbon of your Iphone's LCD.

Sounds like your video chip or your backlight. Hook up an external monitor. Does it stay on or the same results.? How long before it goes off/BLACK ???

To verify if it's a screen or motherboard problem you need to connect an external monitor to the laptop ,can you hear the laptop enter windows by hearing the welcome sounds if so then its a screen problem.
otherwise the motherboard has to be replaced.

The problem with your PC Notebook has to do with the screen.Since you can hear the sound then your screen might be damaged maybe mistakenly.
You just have to get to the right store and replace the screen so your notebook can work perfectly.

Propably the screen is damaged!
Connect an external screen to your laptop,
If the external screen is also black,
then its your graphics card adapter thats needs to be replaced!
