You will need to do a hard reset on the phone to get the ear piece working again. I would advise saving all relevant data as this will erase all contacts and everything saved on the phone itself.
Go to your menu
Go to tools
Go to phone settings
Go to security
Enter your lock code (if you havent changed it since you purchased the phone, it is the last 4 digits of your number)
Select restore phone.
After the hard reset, you should be able to hear thru the handset. If unable to hear after doing a hard reset, then that means there is damage done to the handset ear speaker and you will have to have the phone replaced.
Hope this was helpful and thanks for asking the experts.
you have 2 speakers. 1 ear speaker for calls and 2nd one for ringer, MP3, loudspeaker etc. Make sure your ear speaker volume is all the way up, nothing in the way ( dirt - make up - metal shavings etc ). If all is good have your ear speaker replaced.
When you make call no body can hear you because there will be mic in your handset it might be in loose contact or the mic is damaged ...
and you cannot hear them because the ear piece speaker is also in loose contact or it is damaged ...
if you are good at opening the handset then just open it and just have a check is there any miscontact in both the mic & the ear piece speaker ...
i think the mic and ear piece speaker are not touching to the circuit board so as it is not in contact you are facing this problem .. check for the miscontact and solve it ... if they are damaged then replace with the new ones.. while purchasing the new ear piece & mic buy which is compatible to your handset model .. if you are not good in opening then just visit the technician ... he will do it ... The price of the ear piece speaker & the mic are very cheap ... if you visit the technician then he may take the service charges extra ...
any doubts reply me i am always here to assist you thank you bye ..
jamin is not silent. jamin can vibrate but wont ring. music works fine only if though a headset. calls work fine only if through a headset. was working fine playing music and then we tried to make a call after pulling out the headset and got no audio and as it was expecting a headset it wasnt picking anything up from the mic. maybe its a mic issue? ie mic died so jamin switches to headset? just thought of that so will investigate.
