SOURCE: HOTPOINT 8596 keeps running
look under the unit to see if the condenser ciol is dirty..This is most likely the problem.. sweep it out with a vac. and temps should go back to normal let me know if that is not it.
SOURCE: I have a hotpoint fridge
I have tried the above solution without success. The only solution to the problem that works is to empty the fridge/freezer switch it off and allow it to do a full defrost. Then switch it on again. This appears to have sorted the problem

I have a hotpoint future FF187E both lights are flashing how can i stop them flashing ?
SOURCE: HOTPOINT FFA70 FRIDGE FREEZER
I had this problem and it was fixed relatively easily. Get everything out of your fridge freezer and switch it off overnight to allow it to defrost.
In the bottom freezer compartment there is a panel behind the draws which you can remove but you will need a special tool from a DIY shop. Its like an allen key, but with a star shaped end.
When I got the panel off I found that the filament was covered thick with ice even though it had been off for hours. No wonder it wasn't working properly. I melted this with a hairdryer. You want to take your time with this as you could easily damage the freezer if you try chipping the ice out.
Freezer works perfectly now and is very quiet.

Hi,
As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong. If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the last two tips.
If your refrigerator is running but warm, then…
Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...
