Software what software do i need to run this web cam on windows xp

Hi.
actually for presario c700, web cam driver is auto install in windows XP, Vista or 7.
you only need install web cam software to take picture from your web cam
on presario c700 webcam, Youcam software is need to make this action. but if u only use your cam for online. skype or ym is sufficient for it to function

Your description is kind of confusing. are you running windows xp or windows 7? Your best bet would be to download the drivers and software for windows 7 from the camera's manufacturer website.

If your web camera freezes check your Windows Device Manager and see if the hardware is recognized and installed properly. It might be that the hardware is recognized as a camera, but the right drivers are not installed. The yellow explanation mark will indicate a problem. If the device is not recognized in Windows XP, it will be listed under Other Devices
In either case you can try to update the drivers. Right-click the device, and in the pop up menu select Update Driver Software. Then follow the instructions on screen, but make sure you allow Windows to search the web for updated drivers. In case no driver for the web cam can be found, you can try a third party driver finding program that scans your PC for installed hardware and allows you to install missing drivers.
If this fails, the next step would be to un install the software that came with your web cam. Use the Add or Remove Programs feature in the Control Panel. If that does not work you can use a third party un installer. After un installing the software, restart your PC and then reinstall the web cam software. In most cases this will solve the problems. firstly u need 2 uninstall the current web cam driver software from your system then

Start --> Run --> %temp% --> Delete all files.


Start --> Run --> prefetch --> Delete all files.

Restart ur system and visit the link below and install the latest driver software for the web cam
