Lg 42 plasma model 42pc3d-ud: had a really bad picture so i thought i would take a look and found fs1 blown (4A), replaced it and tried to turn on tv, the LED would go green for a few seconds then the tv would turn off. Took fuse bak out and went back to original problem. the fuse is on the zsus board. Will replacing this board fix the problem or will i have to replace other boards also?
I had the exact same problem. Replacing the Z-board alone did not solve the problem. Seems that a lot of these TVs had the same problem. The only fix that I found online is to replace the Z-board, Y-board and the control board. I have not tried it yet. Doing some more research before I sink even more money into this TV.I had the exact same problem. Replacing the Z-board alone did not solve the problem. From your description it sounds like your TV it's actually on you just can't see a picture. That is usually caused by your Zustain boards. The zustain boards are located on the left and teh right side of the TV. You can check the fuses to see if one of them is blown or you can leave it on and see if one of them does not heat up. You would have to replace the board. You can find part at www.interliquidparts.com
The problem is the Y-Sus PCB; You'll have to take the cover off and see the model # on the board (this board is on your left side as u take the cover off)
I know you already replaced the board, this is for future searchers. If you heard a popping sound, then the picture went out, there is a 32 pin Sanyo module that goes bad on the board. That's probably what caused the fuse to blow. Replace the module, then replace the fuse. The module is less than half the cost of a used board. Since this was a popular model TV, there are lots of replacement boards on the used market.
