my hp psc 2210 after putting in new cartridge keeps saying press enter to align cartridge. it keeps repeating the same reading.

you have to go to the menu and change the settings , try the DEFAULT setting . also do you have the printer connected to the PC ?

Where the paper comes in and out left up right there and the top should rise. The cartridge should move out in front of you when the top is lifted.
