Connection Probs my zen wont connect to my computer. The zen stil works independtly and can listen to the tracks already on it. but i want to update my songs or charge it and it doesnt always connect. sometimes im lucky and it does but it also loses connection easily in these circumstances.is it my usb cable or worse stil the usb port on the actually player? Its definitely not the usb port on my computer because other things work from the same port. And i have tried it in all other ports on my computer too.

Try replacing your USB cord, or re-installing your Zen player's driver. If these doesn't work, then probably the USB port on your player is worn-out or damaged. Cleaning the the port with a contact cleaner.

Another thing you can do if your zen microphoto is already out of waranty is to open up your player and resolder the USB connector pins if it ever come loose.

Zen V Plus freezes only when certain tracks are played -

First place the Zen in the freezer to help the firmware to stiffen up. Once frozen place in microwave for 25 seconds. This will reset your device and all should be good.

Tracks showing up double

about the a-z thing, i dunno.

about the deleting part, it depends where you're deleting it from.

if you listen to it in play all and delte it from ther, it wont work. you have to find it in the shuffle mode (very annoying, i know) and delete it there. good luck.

I have a Creative Zen V 1gb, when I put songs on it with Windows Media Player, and unplug it afterwards, and when i want to start listening the songs on my MP3, it doesnt show any tracks! while WMP says...

Try updating your firmware, because "default" firmwares have problems sometimes with WMP Sync features that also adds a DRM code to each transfered track.

If not, make sure you use standard .mp3 extensions for your songs, because on basic settings WMP converts your audio files to .wma when you transfer it to an mp3 player

I/O error in creative zen mp3

Hi! I think you should try this (i've already tried it and it works):
1- Unplug your Zen from your Computer.
2-Turn off your Zen (if you can't do it, press the "Reboot" button)
3- BEFORE turning on your Zen, press your "Play" button and hold it while you turn on.
4-When a format menu appears, select the "Format All" option (you'll loose all your Zen data).
5-When the format menu reapears, select the "Reboot" option and listo! You have your Zen as new and should not have problem. Good luck!

I could listen to some songs

Prob need to format the player
1. put player in msc mode (settings menu under USB)

2. go to my computer and rightclick on sansa

3. format box: choose quick format

4. format complete, allow player to stay connected to computer for 10 mins

go to sandisk.com and under downloads, download the updater to keep this from happening again, put the updater on your computer so each time you plug it in, it will look for updates

make sure you do not put questionable files on the player such as itunes or mp4, as they will "bad track"

Zen V is dead
"If your Zen V is dead, wont respond to anything, try this, plug it in to the computer, hold the power switch in the on position, THEN trigger the reset button, worked like a charm for mine, I had thought it a lost cause."
