My wife had replaced bith ink cartridges and the carriage was also jammed! what she did was helped the cartridge carrier up some and it finally clicked in!!

unplug the device and try to move the carriage with your hand ,but do not force to move it .if it does not moves just again plug in the wire and on the printer.and the carriage will move when the carriage comes out.just check out the cartridges that r they properly installed.

I had the same problem and just got it to work. go to

go to the section "Moving the carriage" turn on printer and then unplug power. If you still cant move the carrage then remove both toner cartridge and all the trays. Then completely disconnect printer and stand it upright (so paper feed and cartridge tray is on top) Look thru the paper feed area to the left side of toner carrage and you will see a little plastic tab around the bottom back of the carrage. That tab is suppose to be inside a track on the bottom of the carrage. I think that when we put in or took out toner we must have pushed it to hard and that piece jumped out of the track and has "locked" the carrage. I just pushed the carrage up carefully and used a letter opener to move the plastic tab back into place (tab is spring loaded) print working fine now. Hope this solves your problem

change the carrage block will solve this issue.the carrage block cable is damaged
