May be your screen resolution is too low (things on the screen appear as big). Try increasing your screen resolution.

To do this. Right-click an empty area of desktop > click properties > Click setting > move the slider of the resolution tab towards the higher number.

Sometimes the application that is used to create or print the document may be set to a view level of low zoom size. increasing the resolution view size of the application should solve your problem.

It is recommended to use true type fonts they print in actual size.

Print Preview is for a quick overall idea of the general idea of what the document will look like. The text will be too small to read on your screen. Print it out. Is it ok printed?

Pages that print have characters and small text instead of normal size text???

The printer has the wrong driver.
In the printer control panel delete your printer.
Go to the printer's manufactures website.
Select Support or Drivers and choose your model.
Download the driver and run it.
You may have to install it from the control panel
