Without more information it is going to be hard to help you. I assume you mean the TV has a warning of lamp problems. Means you need to replace the lamp. Go to www.partstore.com and put in your sets information. You should be able to find the lamp you need. Get it. Your owners manual should tell you how to replace or at least where the lamp housing is. Open the housing, remove the old lamp, install the new lamp, close properly and you should be good to go. Let me know how it works out.
Hi, Lamp replacement is easy in KDS-50A2020 and written in user manual, check page-52 for details. Open lamp cover on lower right side of TV, pull out old lamp and slide new lamp, put lamp cover back and turn on TV. Click Sony Support if you need to download user manual copy. Thanks.
hello the last light at the bottom of the tv will flash this will tell you the lamp as burn't out i would buy the lamp in the housing it just makes it easyier to install when you do install it make sure
remove 2 screws from bottom back of tv(plillips) now carefully remove front cover.it unclips, sometimes you have to pry it off.take out screws from lamp cover, remove cover, take screws out of lamp, remove lamp.reverse process to put it back together.
There is a Thermal fuse under the lamp housing that opens up and Sony has a New style fuse to replace it with, it opens up one of the p/s lines to set code 6, replace with new thermal fuse and test. You will want a Skilled Professional to replace this fuse as it does require some dissassembly and removal of light engine to remove fuse from under lamp housing to put new one on side of lamp housing.
