I have a Kenmore Cold Spot Model 70192000. Having a problem with water leaking into the fridge. Keep a bowl on the top shelf and have to empty it once every two weeks. Now the ice cream in my fridge won't stay frozen, like soup and the fridge is warm (about 46 degrees).

I have the same model - same leakage. Gave up and have kept a container to catch the water. If I forget to empty it, have to mop up the overflow. Had a Sears guy out the first time, who found a layer of ice beneath the freezer lower surface. He melted and removed it, and all worked well for a time. He blamed the problem on me, said I must have too much food stored and the air could not circulate - thereby causing the layer of ice in the freezer, which freezes over the drain, and then leaks. Bulloney - I keep my food in footed boxes, allowing air circulation above and below each shelf. I think it's a design problem. But, my freezer keeps the proper temp, so ....

HI, I can help you with this. It sounds like the defrost drain is plugged. If you will get me the model# from inside the fresh food section of the refrigerator, I can look up this model and instruct you on how to repair this.

Thanks
Vic

Fridge leaking intermittently from the bottom

Sounds like your gasket may be going out. Consider replacing the gasket on the doors. Look for signs like small lines of frozen water that lead to the door or unexplainable excess ice in the bottom of the freezer.
I would also check for excess water in the condensation catcher tray, which may very well be located in the same spot under the ice maker. Depending on where you live (southeast, coastal, etc...) can have a strong contributing factor of having excess condensation, which will cause the tray to overflow.

Kenmore model#59675932402 Top part of fridge not cold it is running but not cold, and fridge has been leaking also

check for ice buildup in the freezer floor,if so then the drain hole for the defrost pan is plugged up and when it defrosts the water from this leaks down into the refrige, you need to remove rear inner wall panel inside freezer and take a small wire and rat out the drain hole under the evaporator coil that goes to the bottom of the unit

No, the fridge side gets it cold from the freezer. You can turn the freezer off and use a hairdryer to thaw it out and the fridge side won't loose much cold during that time.

Your water inlet valve may need replaced to fix the leak unless the leak is a hole in the water line.

Kenmore Cold spot 106 Warm Fridge

I would replace the evaporator fan, this fan problem is hard to diagnose because the fan will spin but not fast enough to circulate the chilled air thru the freezer and the refrigerator. The minimum cost to repair/replace is around $300.00

I have a Kenmore Cold Spot fridge, freezer on top. Fridge is warm, and freezer keeps freezing up on sides and bottom. I cleaned it all out, defrosted it, and it still freezes up and fridge still won't get...

Is this a self defrost model? Frost inside the freezer could be an air leak around the door gasket. Remove the back panel in the freezer and completely defrost the coils. Is the fan running in the freezer. That will make the frig not be cool. With the door closed peek in the gasket to make sure the light is shutting off, this will warm a frig also.

Hot to touch

there is another fan at the bottom, rear, of the refigerator. remove the bootom panel and look at the cooling fins to make sure they are not bent into the fan blades. Caefully bend the fins away from the fan. this should improve the cooling of the refrigerator and get rid of the hot spot on the rail between the refrigerator and freezer.

My kenmore refrigerator side by side

All the cooling takes place in the freezer and is blown over to the frig side so the frig side will start to warm up soon. Possible cause is the starting device to the compressor is faulty, compressor motor locked up or cold control faulty and not closing.

The water line could be frozen. Take a hair dryer and heat up the tube where the water enters the ice maker. MAke sure it doesn't get to hot and start melting the plastic,
