I think the Contacts are saved to the SD card. Try this, remove the SD Card and Battery. Put the SD card into a computer card reader. See if there is data on it. Put the battery in without the SD Card and turn the phone on. See what happens and if the Operating system loads okay. Then power down, put the SD Card back in and book it up again. Make sure the SD Card isn't the sort with the data lock tab on it in the corner. It needs to be Unlocked to work.
There should be a tiny 1/4 inch square SD card inside the phone, usually inside or under the battery compartment.
Just transfer this card to the new phone.
This only works if you have put the contact list phone numbers ON the SD card and NOT on the phone memory.
Make sure you copy that information to the SD card in the phone. If you haven't put one in yet , do so then copy your contact list and save the messages to the SD card. Then keep them on the SD card after you replace the sim card.
On android u have o go in to your settings apps and place each one on the sd card it does not save automatically through settings here is a link to help u out: https://www.howtogeek.com/114667/how-to-install-android-apps-to-the-sd-card-by-default-move-almost-any-app-to-the-sd-card/
Heres how to move your contacts: From a Home screen, tap Contacts (located at the bottom). If unavailable, navigate: Apps > Contacts. From the Contacts tab, tap the Menu icon (located in the upper-right). Tap Settings. Tap Contacts. Tap Import/Export contacts. Tap Export to SD card. Tap OK.
If the files are not needed on the card then format the card and try again. If you do need them I suggest trying some software to retreive the files from the card and then format it. You can download it for free, just google data retrieval software.
you have to go to contact then you have to go management then you can see the option copy all click on that to copy all contact to another sim or device
If it is in fact an SD card, there is a small switch on the side of the card. It will turn it from write protected to writable. Let me know if you still have problems.
If you bought the SD card from Verizon then you should have another card where you insert the card into the regular sized and it works that way.
Good luck!!
