How to clean the print head

No easy way to clean the print head. You will need to remove it from the printer to gain access to the area to clean. What does the label look like on the disc? Streaks is probably a dirty print head. If sections of the label are missing it could be the print head or heat roller. Look at the re-transfer (clear) ribbon. If the missing part of the label is left on the ribbon you have a heat roller issue.

Have an Everest III disc printer that is not printing good labels. Seems the blue prints OK but the are streaks on the disc where the red and yellow should be printing. Changing the ribbons didn't

First thing is to completely CLEAN the printer. All rollers and any point that contacts the ribbons or transfer material.

Using CD Designer I try to print my disc on my Everest II printer and it appears to be printing and then the tray opens and the disc is blank - "no image printed on the disc" I do not get any...

Check the ribbons. If your CD image is still on the color ribbon your print head is probably bad. If the image is on the transfer ribbon replace the heat roller.

We have a Rimage Everest II S/N 06074034 model number. Requesting Transfer paper?? Problem states "Retransfer out"

Hello Spacheco763,
The serial number provided is a DLN5200. I am assuming you are using the Everest II printer with this autoloader.
I don't think the message you are saying is the full message, but I will attempt to help.
If you just changed the ribbon and are getting an error stating there still isn't any left, go into Printers and Faxes and right click on the Everest II. In the drop down menu, choose printing preferences. Click the utility tab and open the Status Monitor. Here you can reset the ribbon count and view the status of the printer and ribbons.
If it is giving you a upper or lower retransfer ribbon error, the sensors closest to the retransfer ribbon need to be cleaned.
If this does not fix your problem, it could be a possible hardware issue. The serial number you provided is not under a service contract and will be going end of service (EOS) very soon. If you would like discuss this, feel free to give our support team a call at 1-800-553-8312 (Option 2)

Ribbon Error

According to the user's manual this message indicates a problem with the ribbon sensor. As a test, set the unit for thermal direct printing and attempt to print a barcode. You will not see the code if yoiu are expecting thermal transfer, but the paper/label should feed like it is printing. That will indicate that the printer is functioning. At this point, the sensor needs to be replaced.

Hope this helps,
Dan

"warning Ribbon In" error message

Had the same problem with a ZM400. As stated in the User manual (can be downloaded http://www.zebra.com/id/zebra/na/en/index/resource_library/manuals.results.html?FRRBarcodePrinters=6882), warning "Ribbon in" is usually caused by the wrong printing method (thermal direct instead of thermal transfer [which should be selected for ribbbons]). My error disappeared after choosing "thermal transfer" directly on the printer. For network printers this needs to be set by an admin in the network settings for the the printer to solve the problem permanently.

Possible print head failure

to test , press pause botton and turn on (press 5 sec.)
he print a "pause test".
check if print, if stop on ich gap and if come some lines across the print (if apear some lines, need new print head.) this step just pause wen print some labels, and then still print until turn off.
Turn off and turn on the printer to work normal.

To calibrate media, go on the setings to "sensor profile" and/or "run manual calibration, follow the steps. (dont forget to take the ribbon from the sensor.)
let the test run until finish.
