Sounds like you have a front end problem. Sorry my freind, there is no quick fix for this unit. your going to need some pretty expensive equipment to trouble shoot the RF section of this reciver. It most likly will exceed the cost or close to the cost of the unit to have a pro fix it as well. What you can dom if you really like the unit is to go out and purchace an inexpesive unit or tuner and use a tape out of the new unit to an empty input of your olkd unit, so then you will be able to use the new one to tune in the FM again with your old amp.

I have the same tuner...yes the fm and am frequencies are different there than north america...check to see if you have the "worldwide" model...there is a small switch under a small hole underneath the tuner to select the region for where it is to be used. If its not the worldwide model then i think your outta luck.

yes their is but you would need a local man to do it this is not something you can do yourself ,also of course it depends on the fault as some faults may cost more to fix than the set is worth .try a length of wire just pushed into the aerial plug and if its still the same then ask a local man but if its all microchips inside then it cannot be repaired very easly .could just be a broken wire on the inside of the set from the aerial socket to the board ,something right simple and a two minute job to repair
