SOURCE: Are thee any Binatone handsets compatable as extra handset to add to Binatone symphony 3325 unable to get new handsets but main answering machine and handset are still working

with cordless phones the problem is that the hand sets have to be recognized by the base station ( paired) and unless you have the exact hand piece make and model this pairing and recognition will not happen
if you can get 2nd hand units for the 3325 base then the base will accept them ( any number of additions ) but if the hand piece is different it will not work
you you need extra hand pieces then it may be best to consider a new system where you can buy extra phones and chargers

I have an uniden exa 2980 and losy manual, how do I obtain a copy.also how do I turn up ring volumn?

Uniden has the manual for the EXAI2980 here: https://www.uniden.com/File%20Library/FooterNav/Product%20Information/Owners%20Manuals/exai2980om.pdf .

Do you need to adjust the ringer volume of the base, the handsets or both? To set the ringer volume of the base, start with the phone in standby mode (no calls being made or received) then press Menu 4 times (the right-hand button in the row above the volume up/down buttons). You should hear the current ring volume and see it displayed on the LCD screen. Press Set (the left-hand button in the row above the volume buttons). Press Skip/FF or Repeat/RR (the buttons on either side of the Play button below the LCD screen) until the desired ring volume level is displayed. Press Set to save the setting. Press Play/Stop to exit the menu system. See page 38 of the manual (page 40 of the PDF above) for the directions.

To adjust the handset ringer volume, press the handset volume up or down buttons with the phone in standby. The last chosen ringer tone and volume will be saved. See page 16 (page 18 of the PDF). Sometimes, the handset will not ring after losing the security code that pairs it to the base. Remove the handset from the base. Press and hold Page on the base (between Set and Menu). While the handset is sounding the paging tone, replace the handset in the base. Leave the handset in the base until the flashing stops (more than 5 seconds). See page 47 of the manual.

I hope this helps.

MY POWER MAX 5.8 SAYS THAT MY VOLUME IS OFF ON ONE HAND SET--HOW DO I TURN IT ON? THANKS EILEEN CARTER [email protected]

There are different ways to adjust the ringer and speaker volume on your handset. Please see your owners manual for model specific instructions.
On most single handset units:
Ringer volume: Press the volume up or down arrow rapidly to change the ringer volume.
Speaker volume: When talking on the handset press the volume up and down arrow to increase or decrease the volume.
On other models:
Ringer volume
In standby mode, press the volume up key or volume
down key on the handset or base to select one of three
ringer volume (Off, Low, or High).

Earpiece and Speaker Volume
You can select from among of six volume levels on the
handset, and ten levels on the base. Pressing the
volume up key or volume down key on the handset or
base during a call will change the earpiece or speaker
volume. This setting will remain in effect after the
telephone call has ended.
If you press the volume up key when the earpiece is at
the maximum volume level, an error tone sounds.
The error tone also sounds if you press the volume down key at the lowest volume.

When answering mode is on I do not want to hear the ringing(4x) tones before going to answering.I've switched off the 'call screen' option. still I hear the ringing although not recording at least.

Just set the ringing volume to off.
You can choose from four ringer volume settings (off, low, medium, and high) separately on each handset or the base.
With the phone in standby, press or on the handset or VOLUME or VOLUME on the base. The handset or base sounds the ringer at that level. Use on the handset or VOLUME on the base to make the ringer volume louder. Use on the handset or VOLUME on the base to make it softer or turn it completely off.
Note: If you set the ringer volume to Off, the handset or base won't ring. Other handsets or base will ring according to their individual settings

The volume on one of my Gigaset 8825 mobile handsets is very low. I have adjusted the handset volume to the max setting but still can barely hear the ringer. Is there another way to adjust the handset...

Hi, you can try to change the profile settings of the phone, because sometimes even if the volume is full but if the profile settings is on low, the sound will still be low.
Thank you for using Fixya.

Can't find the hands free speaker button

In an increasingly hands-free world, the external speaker feature of cell phones has increased the usability of cell phonesmag-glass_10x10.gif in the car, public transportation and at work. The volume controls on the external speaker controls can be somewhat difficult to find and manipulate.
  1. Step 1 Make sure the speaker setting is actually on. If the speaker is turned to off, the volume you hear will be coming from the earpiece and will be very low indeed. Sometimes there is a button on a cellphone which you can simply press and hold to activate the speaker function. You will notice a difference immediately.
  2. Step 2 Check to see if you have external volume controls. On some models, there is a button or two buttons that adjust the volume of both the handset and the speaker volume. If you have these buttons, use them to adjust these controls while on calls. Remember that adjusting the speaker volume will subsequently adjust the handset volume once you've turned off the speaker mode.
  3. Step 3 Access the sound controls in your phone. If your phone does not have external speaker control, it can be accessed by adjusting the controls saved on your phone. Also, the main settings can be controlled even if you do have external controls. Phones are different, but in your menu of options, choose sound and sound controls. This should give you options for ring volume, alarm volume and handset volume.
  4. Step 4 FInd volume controls for all settings. If you wish yo have multiple settings for each function---alarm, calls and speaker---you should be able to adjust these accordingly. Search through the control options until you've found speaker controls. Choose the setting you desire and save the settings.
  5. Step 5 Using the main volume as a foundation, use the external controls (if applicable) to adjust the levels.
