What size screws secure a P300 hard drive in case

the HDD is a yankee invention and uses Imperial screw sizes..
INCHES, is that. not METRIC.

so lost the others screws from other HDD removed? (story)
the screws must not be too long or you damage the HDD. ok?
rule1 stated (1/4" max? 6mm long)
they are #6-32 screws (#6 and 32 threads per inch)
see that word inch that is greengo yankee imperial sizes.
but other screws in a PC are metric, but not HDD and not PSU.

Toshiba's 3.5-inch P300 Desktop PC Hard Drive

if you want I can link the data sheet to it.
from makers web site in Japan. oops the silly manuals skip this fact, my guess is it will state (hidden) complies to ATX spec,

here is USA data sheet that answers this question
see lower page , words, 6-32UNC and the 0.25" inch LIMIT
note too, the 0.188" side limits on penetrations, ok?

How to find diffrent unit standerds relating to boilermaking

The basic principle is that it would use the customary or legal standard units for the particular country.

For instance in the US, although the metric system is legal, the American imperial (modified British) system is still used. Hence boilermaking specs and drawings would usually be in inches, feet, US ounces and pounds etc.

In Australia it has all gone metric long since, and units are in metres, mm, grams and kilograms etc. Boilermaking as a trade is nearly dead, but would be metric.

In the UK all packaging and food sales must be in metric units, but otherwise metrication is self-regulating and more or less voluntary. Because of the vast amount of equipment and tooling which has still imperial units inherent in it, much manufacturing there still uses imperial units. Boilermakers could see either system.

Graco pack play

Hi Carol, remove the fastener from the opposite side of the one that is missing and take it to a Home Depot or Lowes in your neighborhood. Some well stocked hardware stores may also be able to help. They have both metric and standard threaded screws and bolts and I believe the Graco uses metric. They have boards in the hardware department that should tell you which type you need.

It doesn't usually need to look the same to do the job but if they have nothing to help you out, you will at least know if it's standard (for example 10/24 x 1" which means the screw or bolt is size 10 with 24 threads per inch by 1 inch long) or metric (M5 x 0.8 x 1" which is the metric size closest to a 10/24 x 1") and the type of head, hex or bolt head or a screw driver head, Phillips or flat-bladed.

Armed with that information you'll be able to locate the exact replacement from hardware providers on the internet.

(If the head is unusual, take a picture)

Hope this helps,
