I waqnt to permanently remove the Guide Plus menu when turning on the TV. We do not use the service and never will. I would like to program my DIRECTV remote for the RCA TV, but I am afraild there is no button to "clear" the menu each time the TV is turned on.

Select Options.
Select Off.
Option B:
Select the GUIDE Plus+™ Menu from the Main menu.
Select GUIDE Plus+™ Auto Display from the GUIDE Plus+ menu.
Select Off.
Option C:
Press GUIDE on your remote control.
Select the Menu bar.
Press the right arrow button to select Setup.
Choose Review Options.
Select Off.
I know Option C worked for me!!
