Samsung ML-2510 Laser Printer Jams

So far this printer is OK for ordinary 20# paper and thinner, but is useless for heavier paper or cardstock. I just won't feed heavy paper. Setting the printing options for cardstock or heavy paper makes no difference. Any ideas?

My Samsung laser printer ML-2510 keep wont stop running (two lights are blinking same time) until I manually turn off the switch.

After removing the pickup rubber (and not removing the rubber band from it's plastic drum) I cut a thick piece of card stock paper the width of the rubber band and slid it under the rubber. I thought it would make it contact the paper with more force and it worked great.

If the paper is jam in the printer

Without more specific information on where the jam is occurring in the printer difficult to provide a specific solution.

However, if you are having problems with paper jams you may find it helpful to work through the interactive troubleshooting guide found on this page under the Troubleshooting tab:

Om line error red light is on

Try this solution: Check for paper jams when the "Error" LED lights red. Open and close the front cover. The paper may automatically be ejected from the printer. Gently pull any remaining jammed paper straight out. Open the front cover. Pull the toner cartridge out. Pull out any internal paper jams.

Black streaks on paper on samsung ml 2150 laser printer

Could you describe these marks for us please.

Are they small specks or blotches? Bad Toner Cartridge

Are they lines:
Horizontal - Transfer Roller or Charge Roller
Vertical - Bad Toner OR Bad Fuser.

Note: A bad toner cartridge can render all of the parts listed here useless. Check for build up or lines on the cartridge reflective drum. Avoid light, as with film.

If they are a mix of both, the device needs to be cleaned with a can of compressed air. You must remove the cartridge, paper tray(s, and fuser to create clear path.

Sound like the printer cartridge is either bad ..or now snapped in properly..might try to clean the feed roller the one that pick the paper with a cotton swab or lint free rag with some isopropic alcohol. paper dust will cause slippaged and jam. should be located either in the paper tray or just look above for black or grey rollers (when you have the tray out)

Frequent paper jams.

Heavy cardstock and certain types of slick or coated paper can cause frequent paper jams. To better isolate the cause of your problem (machine or paper), try a new ream of regular 20 lb copy or laser paper.
  • Don't Overload
Overloading your paper tray can cause paper jams. Your manual may say that your input tray can hold 250 sheets -- but if you keep getting jams, try loading 225 sheets instead.
  • Check the Paper
Check the minimum/maximum paper weights that your printer can handle. Paper that is too thick, or too thin, can cause jams.
  • If you still get paper jams after this may be its time to clear the internal of the machine..You might want to have a look at the following link..
