Link/act LED of DES-1024D switch

Instructions

Plug an Ethernet cable into the back of the hub.

Connect the other end into the back of the switch.

Power on the switch by connecting its AC adapter. It should integrate into your network in less than a minute.

try to change the power cable and try with a new one...

make sure ur switch is connected with your router

u need to replace the switch,

try to check ur cable type

My First option is to restore the switch to factory default once and then reconfigure the switch.

What is the IOS running on the DES-1024D ?
Are you getting any error message in the log when the switch is hanging. ( through console connection).

Second Option is to upgrade the IOS to a recent one.

connect only DGS -1024D to your network....it will be faster...
because DGS supports 10/100/1000 speed.... but DES supports only 10/100 speed...
connect DGS directly to your network and work with that... if you wish to extend the number of ports then connect the DES to one of the ports of DGS

and dont connect DGS to one of the ports of DES

Is the switch powered up?
is the Ethernet cable connected to a working/powered/enabled NIC?
