I got a dx4530 w/easyshare Dock II. from a friend of mine. He had been using AA batteries and it worked fine. I went to Best Buy and bought 2 Ni-MH batteries and put them in the camera. I then put the...

In the Kodak cameras of that vintage the original 3V rechargeable battery was made of 2 regular AA rechargeable batteries and a special piece of plastic that pushes some microswitch in the battery compartment. If this piece of plastic is missing, the dock would not charge the batteries. You either need the special CRV3 battery or to charge the normal AA rechargeables with a separate charger.

How do u charge the camera? What does the charger look like?

You can charge the batteries in three ways
1. Using an AC power adapter. Connect the AC power adapter to the camera trough the power adapter connector below the usb connector on the right side of the camera (looking from front). Then connect it to the AC power outlet.
2. If you have an optional HP Photosmart camera dock, plug the camera in the dock and then dock the camera. Same thing if you have a wireless dock.

While the battery is charging, the battery charging light in the camera blinks. Once the battery is fully charged, the blinking light stays solid.

It is better that you read the user manual for the camera. If you dont have one, download it free from the web: http://www.retrevo.com/search/v2/jsp/mytrevo/myTrevo.jsp?page=man

The charging procedure is given with figures on page 6.

I have a DX7590 that won't charge the batteries.

Jeff, you didn't verify the type of battery that you have on your camera, is that the KLIC-5000? if yes then still it will not charged on your dock try to charged your camera using the 5V AC adapter. If your camera will not turn on using the 5V AC adapter or will not turn on using your dock it means the camera is defective and not your battery or charger. You can still contact Kodak repair center at 1 800 665 6515 they will handle your issue.

My Kodak Easyshare V1233 will only power up when plugged into the wall charger. Even after staying on the charger it will not power on unless plugged in.

Kodak has 3 types of charger that can be connected to a wall socket
USB AC Adapter - is especially useful when traveling, away from your computer, or just plain on-the-go. Connect your camera's USB cable to the adapter and plug it into a wall outlet to conveniently charge your camera.
5V AC Adapter - Provides in-camera charging for all KODAK EASYSHARE M and V Series Digital Cameras
Input: AC 100-240 V 50/60 Hz Output : DC 5.0 V
3V AC Adapter - Provides direct power to your camera but it will not charge the camera battery
Input: AC 100-240 V 50/60 Hz Output : DC 3.0 V

* You need to check the type of adapter your using. If your using the 5V AC adapter or USB adapter and the camera won't charge the battery contact kodak support line 1 800 235 6325 (23KODAK) for possible repair.

Kodak C613 camera dock won't charge my camera. The green light won't light up, Help

What batteries you use?

The camera docks only charge the kodak battery pack KAA2HR (you can buy this pack at the kodak website) or Kodak Li-Ionen batteries but they don't work in Your camera. So buy a battery pack KAA2HR from kodak and the dock will charge it ;-)

Can kodak CX7430 be charged with USB

A USB connection will not provide sufficient power to your camera and it could damage the internal board. You could opt for purchasing a AAA battery charger or buy a charger/ac adapter from eBay as they go around 10$. The model you're looking for is kws0325.

Good luck.

With my camera on the dock and the dock light is on, the battery light does not come on at all.The camera is turned off. It does not show to be charging or to be charged. No light at all. Nearly new...

Remove the batteries and clean the battery contacts inside the camera with a soft cloth (a heavy buildup on the contacts may require cleaning with a fine wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that the cleaning leaves in the camera, and then reinstall the batteries. This clears most power-on problems, but if yours persists, check the Kodak troubleshooting guide at:

Error E11 with DC4800 camera

This error "may" be associated with a battery problem. Is it possible that the battery is not charging properly.

Other things to try are as follows

1. Connect the camera to the AC adapter or insert onto the Camera Dock and press the Power button on the camera

2.
  • Remove all sources of power (batteries and AC Adapter) from the camera.
  • Remove the Kodak Picture Card or Compactflash Card.
  • Wait a few seconds.
  • Press the Power button twice.
  • Connect the appropriate Kodak AC Adapter to the camera.
NOTE: If you don't have the correct AC adapter, insert a set of fresh or fully charged batteries, according to the User's Guide.

3. The COMPACTFLASH Card could be corrupt. Reformat the card using a card reader or a PCMCIA card adapter in a notebook computer. ***Remember, reformatting erases all information from the card***

4. Try a different CF card as I have seen them fail causling errors.
