Using sharp tv as monitor, get sound but no picture on tv. Is there a certain channel (I have used 3 and 4) that the tv needs to be on? Is there something on the DVD I need to adjust

On your TV IN .. Yellow is Video, Red is 1 Audio. White is Audio 2 this is for Stereo if Mono white is not used.Your TV then needs to be set to Aux or Imput.If no button on TV use UP-Down Chanels. Good Luck.
check the input voltage and check to see if radio shack has a universil adapter to fitit! they should have somthing compable...most lickly its 12 volts
A component lead comprises of 5 phono plugs 3 for pic red and white for sound. If your TV has progressive scan it must have an HDMI connection if so and the MDP also has one that is a better way to connect it.
