TV was shutting off every 30 min.

Cleaned air intake on left back side and cleaned off bulb. I have pets and i think the air intake was clogged causing it to overheat and thus shutting off. After cleaning air filter or intake tv is working much much better with no shut off's.. Just an idea that's worth a try.

R55B Reddy Heater won't stay running. (PMS? menopause?)

Wow! Yours is the best description of a problem I have ever seen!!! Before I read the whole thing I figured you missed the pressure check as most people do but you nailed it. This is what I would try, Replace the air filter, the fuel filter, and the fuel (to make absolutely sure there is no water in the fuel) and readjust the fuel/air mixture. If that does not do it replace the cadmium cell they only cost pennies. Let me know how you make out and good luck.

PS, I have one of these so I am pretty familiar with the problems.

I have a sony kf50xbr800. This TV was purchased new in 2001. After 5 1/2 years the lamp had to get replace. TV been working good till now. While watching tv it will go to stand by mode, after about 2-min's...

The thought is that it needs to be either cleaned out. Dust build up in it's air intake filter or you probably need another new lamp. Usually when these set's shut themselves down is because they are overheating or they can't maintain the voltage to keep the lamp lit.

2001 olds alero, stalling in stop and go traffic

Good chance that the idle Air Control (IAC) valve is dirty with carbon and needs to be cleaned. You can clean it by cleaning the in side of the throttle body with Throttle body cleaner (follow the instructions on the can), you can pick up a can at any parts store like Auto Zone. Disconnect the air intake tube from the Throttle body and spray the cleaner throughout the throttle body, make sue your clean the throttle blade and IAC passage way. Once your done with cleaning the throttle body and IAC passage way, just make sure you spray enough through the IAC passage way to ensure you get the IAC cleaned also. Once everything is cleaned, put everything back together and turn the ignition to the run position for 30 seconds and then turn it off for 10 seconds and then start the car, this will reset the IAC and if there is lots of smoke coming from the tail pipe. That.s normal, it's just residual cleaner and carbon burning off and will take no more then 10 min. This should clear up the problem, but check the wire leads to the IAC on the side of the throttle body for any damages like corrosion and after cleaning the IAC problem is still there. The IAC will need to be replaced, but i don't think so, since you did not mentioned any check engine lights on. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to know your car is running 100% again soon.

LP Ruud furnace achiever 90+. Strange problem.

Sounds like two problems. Not enough combustion air or a defective high temperature limit switch. You enclosure may not be getting enough outside air to properly sustain combustion. If the unit has a rollout thermostat it may be defective and stopping everything.

Keeps turning off by itself after about 30 minutes

Is your air intake clean or clogged.. Maybe it's overheating causing it to shut off.. Had the same problem didn't replace the bulb but cleaned the intake and it works great again. Worth a try.. Intake is located on the left back pannel of the tv.. outside pannel pops off easly.
